Based on the bid details by ubwalsons @377, the effective oversubscription in the Retail Investor Section comes down by 5% from 17% to 12%.
If you observe, there are price bids of 2074032 shares, which constitute nearly 5% of the total allocated shares for Retailers. I presume these bids will get rejected as the issue price will be fixed at the upper band. Hence, the retail over subscription will be 12%. Hope the oversubscription details published are final :-)
Any one who applied for 12 lots will get 1 lot confirmed. People who would have applied for more will get proportionately higher number of shares.
26 times seems to be unlikely. Because till 8.20, it is 16.42 times. If it is 26, then there is definitely something fishy. From where did you get this figure, because on BSE and NSE, it is not available.
hi manish thanks for ur calculation advice but i am thinking that if ipo of 15 lot of 8 shares means 120 shares if it subscibe 15 times then u get the firm allotment it is not depend upon 1,00,000 it is upon how many lot. there may chance of application may be 99000 or any but if it is 15 time you get 15 lot if it is 16 times ur chance will be 15/16 or 17 times it will be 15/17
Generally for every IPO,minimum share allotment is such that you would get about Rs. 6500 worth of shares (825*8). Now 100,000/6500 = 15.38. Which means any issue with retail subscription upto 15-16 times almost guarantees minimum allocation for 100,000 application.
If look at past subscriptions, If total subscription jumps by 7 times on last day, retail generally jumps 6-9 times. Since Edelweiss was 1.43 yesterday in retail and it jumped by about 8 times in total subscription today (111/14), I believe we should see retail subcription at about 12. But considering retail interest, I would say it should come at about 15-16 times.
