From a low risk investor, is it right to accept mandate of Dreamfolks services for listing gain, is the chances of market fall little bit in upcoming week? Thx
@iamalearner Unofficially, an investor can sell an IPO Application to a buyer at an agreed price (Kostak Rate) before IPO allotment.
In case of 'Subject to Sauda' deal, while selling IPO application in the grey market, buyer and seller agree that deal is only valid if the seller will get the allotment. If the seller doesn't get any shares in IPO process, the deal gets void.
For example; a company XYZ is coming up with an IPO at the prices of Rs 100 per share. IPO Shares are expected to list in 15 days. A seller can sell his Retail IPO allocation for Rs 5000 on 'Subject to Sauda'.
If the seller gets an allotment, he will get Rs 5000. If the seller doesn't get an allotment, he won't get anything.
@SuneelP.. I think one can increase the lot number in HNI applications as there is no separate option of sHNI and bHNI while applying. Initially I had applied for 67 lots but later modified it to 69 lots. Are you sure ??
@Avenue, I couldn't do it with hdfc securities. It depends on broker to broker. When I called customer care, they told it's not possible...that's the reason I told to customer care as this changes broker to broker.

@Avenue, any particular reason, why you applied 69 instead of 67 lots? I think allotment lottery chances aes same in both.
@samjos...No technical reason. In Syrma I applied 4 bHNI and got Zero allotment, just for change applied for 69.
I am also curious to know in Syrma IPO, Why did 3 guy apply for 136340 share, knowing well that they will be a part of lottery 1/3 only for 14 lots and moreover will not get any allotment if they are only applicant for that size.
@Avenue , I would say 3 application for 136340 was a strategy even though bid size was on very high side, If I am correct these 3 application is from same investor. So one of his app get allocated if app wise subs is less than 3.5 . I was earlier also mentioned about this. In bHNI if one can choose an odd lot (a little bit luck also) and apply multiple applications , chance of allocation is more.
In this IPO also if 6/7 application with similar odd lot , chance of allocation is high when compared to minimum bid size. However this will not give firm allocation , but still I think it is better strategy, anyways his chance is not getting reduced, Having said this may not work for sHNI as the probability of having odd lot will be less.
Bottom line apply as much number of application and try to pick an odd lot, the chance won't be less than others.
@Ravu.. Yessss, same investor is the key and only possibility...🧐

The way u think, stock markets dynamics are not the same beta, markets feeds on out of the box thinking, liquidity, future prospects, sentiment and above all market majers, operators, You won't understand perhaps
Avenue @Noorul @Lokes can you guys please explain why Bhni has 1:5 and Shni has 1:20 allotment chances when bhni is oversubscribed 40 times and shni is oversubscribed only 31 times......
bHNI 40x times means issue has been oversubscribed 40x amount wise, not application wise. Application wise sub is always less as many people apply bigger lots. Application wise data is not available anywhere, but if you understand the amount wise sub chance you will get some idea.
Take a simple example: bHNI available 100 L bHNI minimum allotment 2L, BHNI minimum application 10L
Now if bHNI is over subscribed 40x time, means Total amount of bHNI bids is 40 x 100L = 4000L 4000 L can be total application amount of maximum 400 bHNI applicants for 10L.
So no. of bHNI applications required to make subscription 40x = 400 maximum bHNI total to be distributed 100L, and out of which 2 Lac will be allotted to maximum applicant, which here will be 100L / 2 L = 50 applicant.
50 applicant will get 2L allotment out of 400 people which makes it 1/8.
This is the ideal case where bHNI apply only with minimum required amount of 10L. But in reality many applicant apply huge no. , so application wise subscription is always less than amount wise subscription.

The new HNI rules are quite benefited for sime of the respectful members who had 40-50 lakh type of amount. Prior they can get only one or tow lots in good ipo. But now they can get 14 or more lot in this new rules.
One of the members had a question about bonus shares of GAIL. For eligibility of bonus shares One share against holding two shares, the record date is fixed as of 7th Sept. 2022. Hold the shares upto 7th.
