Market ups and downs are mainly on account of FII inflows and outflows. Domestic liquidity is also a factor as evidenced by IPO oversubscriptions. We have to watch and see how central banks of world economies will address easy money policy being adopted by them. Problem is even with easy money policy there is recession . Japan is a good example. Even with zero interest rates there is no inflation. Once interest rates are hiked by central banks like Federal Reserve we may see some reverse flows. Problem with Indian stock markets is that corporate results have not been that great. When yields improve we may see more inflows. Otherwise markets will be without much direction. Another factor which I would like to mention is that valuations have run away from fundamentals in this liquidity driven rally which needs a correction, and that is what has happened in our markets in the past foertnight or so.
One more thing. When FII inflows happen INR appreciates and reverse when outflows happen. Hence one can take a market clue from USD/INR rates early morning as orders are placed in advance. Of course other factors also contribute to exchange rate. Our forex market does not have much of a depth and give clear direction based on exchange rate. For example IOC wanting to make payment for imported crude can result in INR depreciation intraday.
This is market, it always surprises you. When everyone was thinking Sensex will be gap up open by minimum of 300-400 points due to GST, it opened just 100 points up and quickly went in red. :)
oh. so there is no point in buying it for value appreciation!! I heard infosys/wipro IT stock holders became rich by this process, before decade or so.
1. what is minimum investment. 2. Is the listing procedure same as IPOs 3. Is there any minimuum holding period like tax saver fund (3 years) or can we sell it when we like?
1. Minimum is Rs.10,000 2. Same 3. You can sell at any time like shares.
Points to note. 1.Apply for AAA rating NCDs with large issue. so that liquidity will be there.someone has to buy, when you sell right ?! 2.May/May not give immediate listing gain.(If RBI cuts the interest, your NCD Capital value may increase). 3. You can pump your excess liquidity here , especially market heated up and may see a correction. Interest (for sure) + Capital gain (if any) - No Capital loss
hello sir, i never knew NCDs can fetch listing gain. i have not heard before. i am under impression only IPOs can give you Listing Gains..i shall be indebted of you if you plz share your knowledge about this. DHFL NCD ... suppose on maturity if company is not able to pay back,,is there any guarantee we can put our palm on money..Like Bank FD they are secured plus insured ..i have read many investors in PACL are running pillars to posts for getting their money back,.....plz guide if you can...
In my NCD Dashboard of my HDFC-Sec terminal, For DHFL RETAIL-ASBA NCD, there are 10 Interest scheme types. Which one should I opt for? Its my first time for NCD and I''m looking for listing gains only. Plz advice, Thanks
When should we enter markets (at what point of fall)?
What is your idea of bajaj finance record date? even though it is costly, i m thinking of buying bajaj finance for bonus. My understanding of bonus is :
Baj finance cmp: 10 k. So my investment: 10 k.
If i buy 1 share for 10 k before rec date and keep it, it will be 20 k (or market price at that time - anyways, even if it loses 2000 Rs, and becomes 8k it .will be worth 16 k after bonus)
MADAM Thank u for your in depth analysis.I am a senior citizen with small means.i have applied mahanagar gas, advanced enzymee etc., BUT I have not got allotment.BECAUSE OF YOUR FAVOURABLE ANALYSIS I HAVE APPLIED THIS IPO.I HOPE THIS TIME I WILL GET SOME ALLOTMENT IN ANY OF TWO A/CS ONE IN MY NAME AND ANOTHER IN SPOUSE NAME.I WISH U MY BLESSINGS AND REQUEST YOUR GOOD WORKS WHICH WILL BENEFIT ALL.THANK U ONCE AGAIN
Dear MR.sHIVAJI .THANK FOR UR SUGGESTION.MY SON AND DAUGHTER IN LAW ARE NOT INTERESTED IN INVESTMENT IN SHARE.I DO NOT KN0W THE PROCEDURE FOR OPENING A/CS IN GRANDSON AND GRANDDAUGHTER WHO ARE MINORS FOR APPLYING IN IPO.
1.apply for their pan card in minor category ( guardianship) 2. open a bank account in their name 3. open a demat account in their name ( guardian is necessary ) 4. apply in ipo in their name 5. after getting any allotment ,transfer the shares in your account for sale in open market as no trading account can be opened for a minor entity
Badaya is right. I want to say one more point. You can open BSDA (basic services dmat a/c) in minor''s name. Its AMC are comparatively less and the holdings at any time should be below 50 k. Before opening a bank, a/c ask them if online ASBA is provided for kids. Otherwise, there is no point in opening bank a/c in their name. Some banks like Axis DO NOT provide online ASBA for kids.
Thank u very much Mr.Badaya and Mr.Shivaji for your information.I THINK IT IS BETTER MY DAUGHTER IN LAW WHO IS HAVING A/C WITH ICICI BANK AND ASK HER TO OPEN DEMAT AC AND TRY TO APPLY IN IPOS.THANK U ONCE AGAIN FOR YOUR COURTESY AND REPLY.
