Going for original diamonds rather than chasing lab made diamond. Skipping this

The Price to Earnings is 60 as per the DRHP based on the FY 2022 earnings and I consider this too high a valuation with no listed peers to justify the valuation, also the remuneration drawn by the directors cumulatively is Rs 7/lacs per annum which is totally unjustified.

High valuation is the biggest drawback in current market scenario where nobody is willing to hold on the shares allotted in IPO as market is giving maximum punishment to highly valued stocks. As has been shared by group members, despite of GMP, hardly any trades are taking place in Dev Labtech.
I would most probably Avoid this one also unless HNI subscription is very good and also overtakes retail by good margin.
I feel better to add Earthsthal around 40 level as it is continuously giving sharp bounce back from there as seen today also.

Avoiding it as pricing not attractive (PE>32) and market sentiments are also down.

Skipping completely.

Interesting IPO !!
- Company started lab grown diamond from FY 2023 only. in 6 months, sold 2389 carats of lab grown diamond and 1496 natural diamonds. It seems, lab grown diamond has changed margin profile with EBIDTA margin of 2.6% in FY 2022 to 11.1% in H1 FY 2023.
- on Sep 2022 numbers, asking p/e is ~ 30. Seems very high.
- Lab grown diamonds has tailwinds. Few sops announced in budget. if i am not wrong industry is ~ 4000-5000 crore and growing in ~ 10-12%.
- Some weird things in RHP - industry section is shit with no perspective / opportunities mentioned for lab grown diamonds. (Half cooked RHP to meet LM's March targets..)
- Total employee base 24. no separate marketing / sales team.
- I can understand earlier generation promoter does not have sound education background. However, even their sons does not have sound education. One son has only done B.Com. Dont think promoter has capability or will able to professionalize to make it big.

Overall, good sector but average promoters and company performance. will think to apply for listing gain only if NII crosses 25x.

Hopefully some other company in lab grown diamond space comes in with IPO.

My request to Admin to please keep watch on recommendations of DD, these days it's not upto marks.

Investors should go for a break for some time....market sentiments are very adverse.....even good SME IPOs are being listed at low price MCon is an example.....

this IPO's GMP is around 10 to 14% which can wiped out any time...
