Expert comment required as I got allotment many times. Recently i got allotment to my spouse with my upi for rate gain ipo.

Yes I also read this on few forums that people used their UPI IDs on Demat accounts of Friends and Family and got allotments successfully... Can Admin and other senior members please confirm... Thanks!!

I dont understand how will it be rejected, if i use a single UPI to fund all different PAN-Demats . Can someone technically put some light..

@babal: you can check my comment in other thread sometime back in same forum. There is no more information/confirmation other than this. No strict and same rule is being followed by each registrar.

As per sebi rules, both third party ABSA and third party UPI applications are LIABLE to be rejected (as the word "liable" says, it can be rejected or it may not be, depends on registrar now, not a strict rule) but normally in linkintime/kfintech both these UPI/ABSA third party applications , they are accepting and allotment is also happening.
But some small registrars are rejecting applications which are third party ASBA applications too. It happened with skyline registrar in some sme ipo.

In future also ASBA VALID

Do we as investor come to know that IPO application rejected for third party ASBA/UPI Or not alloted because of oversubscription.

By using my upi I''d for my father''s dmat account till now i got ami, nyka,latent, devyani etc so i don''t think application gets rejected.

@babal: yes from allotment mail, you will come to know. kfintech mentions like this below:
Status Regret - Un-successful allotment due to over-subscription
Status Regret - Application rejected on technical grounds

In linkintime, they don''t mention reason in mail or in site when checking status, so may be you can ask them by sending mail when not allotted in third party UPI for reason of non allotment, they will reply either due to over subscription or due to technical (third party UPI). Mostly they will say over subscription reason only since they are not rejecting third party UPI as i already mentioned above in my message. [Team Chittorgarh.com] Can I fill multiple IPO applications in an IPO using the same UPI id?

[Response] In the same IPO, the sole/first applicant can make only one application . If the first holder is different, then that applicant can apply, subject to they being joint account holders in the bank account linked to UPI ID, otherwise it may get rejected as third party applicant.

@babal @team chiitorgarh: Their customer care team reply generally as per guidelines so they are replying even for asba third party also that it will/may be rejected, even from kfintech too, and we all know that asba third party are being accepted by both registrars and even third party UPI''s are being accepted. Their back-end implementation is still supporting these or not validating.
Its better that we don''t keep asking these things again and again to them (as we already know that these are working), else someday it may be taken seriously into consideration and they may stop it or some strict sebi guidelines may come for this ;) :)

I think these people will sure restrict 3rd party ASBA / UIP. There is not a single day for asking this type of rubbish question. Everybody knows that it is currently working then why such type of questions asking again & again. Please stop this and do as it is which you all do earliear. I have 2 accounts, ICICI direct 3-in-1 and Zerodha(Trading+Demat), both on my same PAN
I use zerodha mostly, and avoid icici direct due to high brokerage. But for IPOs i used to apply thru icicidirect, coz in zerodha we can''t apply as HNI and UPI has lots of issue. And when alloted using icicidirect i had to pay alot of brokerage while selling.
Now, in recent IPOs to avoid this, I started using ICICI Bank ASBA(Invest online) then selecting "Other Demat", and entering Zerodha Demat account details. My question is as i am selecting different Demat account, is this application called Third party application? Is this liable to get rejected in future?
Note : 1. I apply only one application per account/demat as both have same pan. I am aware it will reject if i make 2 apps from same PAN
2. I am alloted in RateGain by doing above.

Hni quota might see huge oversubscription and ultimately tough allotment because our application might end up going in lottery.

I m thinking about 197 lots for this..
Will apply in 4 ipos at a same time..

@mog. First three r correct as very predictable. And 4th one nupur.

Lots of confusion for HNI who use own funds. Money stuck in CE Mapmy India will not be there on 16th. So difficult decision. But I feel it will be good to try CE due to double size in numbers means more lots around 4 times more than Data. It''s sad but I prefer keeping all eggs in one basket because 200 lots in 4 may not bring any but 1000+ lots in one will bring at least 2 lots or something for sure.

MapMyIndia : I''ll take a call at 2:30 PM, last day. If the subscription under HNI remains under 300 lots, I''ll apply from 2 accounts 300 lots each or else retail applications. But I think it will be more than 300 times.

I''ve been unlucky with Latent and today with Tega. Not the best scenario for us, self funding HNI.

When Companies (trading) like Medplus are quoting GMP one should understand things are not very positive. We are standing on sand which can slip any time. In past people were considering fundamentals future certainty and revenue profits, PE ratio for applying for IPO but now only one factor is important GMP. Nothing else. So if you want to stay safe invest on fundamentals.

What you say is absolutely correct.
But beyond it, there is something called ^Market trend^.
When you are investigating for long term, you must be aware of the fundamentals.
But IPO is ^char din ka chandni^. Not to be carried away by the market gossips.
Whatever IPO that has come this year is mostly not touchable but many have given huge return.
So, one should continue striking the iron so long as it is red hot.
It will not continue for ever. We will be trapped someday. Before that try to amass fortune as much as possible with the help of money or fortune .

Pharma cos and api manufacturers trade at low PE valuations whereas cos which sell these medicines like Medplus demand PE valuation that is 2-3 times of that of the manufacturers.
Looks like markets hold trading business in high regard.

Honest and Critical Info needed on HNI :
For any set of IPOs together, I saw max HNI fund in circulation of 1 lac crore.
So for Data Patterns , Will it be 1 lac cr - {66,000 crore from MapMyIndia + Medplus HNI funds}?
Is it gonna be less than 44,000 cr( translates to max 278x)? Is my understanding correct?

@kp kumar.. 1lakh cr - 66000cr = 34000cr. Not 44000.
So d final figure should not b more than 380x. Theoretically.. but who knws few new nbfcs jump into d ground n makes life difficult for self funded hnis.. These days market is full of surprises..😇

till now max HNI amount was even approx 1.1 lakh crore not 1 lakh crore, together in all ipos at same time and it may cross also, funds are being given by many NBFC''s and many new people are taking funds now. Lets see this time.

IMHO, about 45-50K cr will be available for DP and Med+.

Of overall availability of 100-110K cr, 66K cr is blocked in Mappy which isn''t available and about 9K cr from Shriram & RateGain will become available for DP on 16th. So overall fund availability is 110-(66+9)+9=44. Metro is grabbing peanuts out of this, say about 0.5K cr and adding some cushion given massive interest in DP - arrive at the quantum of 45-50K cr.

Overall, <400x for DP and <100x for Med+ HNI with DP being a clear and personal favorite in my view. Keep minting!

How do you apply for 1000+ lots in one application. By default, sbi and kotak doesn''''t allow application with amount exceeding Rs. 99,99,999. What is the procedure to increase the limit?

@Mog: not applying in HNI here, reason no funds left, will apply in retail from all applications obviously. HNI can go around 350-400X here as per my thinking.

I left DP and picked Mapmy for a reason.
Chances in both are allmost same.

HNI subscription will be less. Most of the folks went into Medplus subscription as the chance is high.

Again HNIs have to choose between Supriya and Cms. There is a mad rush by companies to get listed asap.

Last few days have been hectic, today I feel like IPO holiday for me. First time for me - No IPO and No Money :)

I don''t think any bank can release funds before late evening/night. Most of the banks will release it tomorrow.

@MOG, @Noorul - Thanks for clarifying. I was a little curious about this because Mappy BoA is today 16th December and initiation of refunds is morrow on 17th December. I don''t remember specifically (or maybe I even misunderstood) but in one of the previous HNI threads there was some discussion around early initiation of refunds by some banks. So I''m just curious to know if that early release is in the first half of BoA day or in the first half of initiation of refunds day.

In my experience, SBI till a few months ago, was releasing the lien at EoD of BoA day so essentially a day before the stated initiation of refunds day that is typically stated. Nowadays, SBI is releasing the lien on the morning after the stated day of release of funds. Alternatively, this could be a function of the proactiveness of some of the registrars too and not only the banks.

Knowing which banks/registrars are proactive in releasing the lien will help plan for back to back IPO situations. This is just to try to make the best of the IPO rain. Thanks

@neolongus I''ve heard about Canara bank and Kotak mahindra bank as one of the fastest fund unblockers whereas most of the banks prefer doing it the next day.

I have applied 115 lots with the available funds, hope I may get the allotment in lottery if subscription is more than 250X

MOG- You have heard and I have experienced Canara as very slow like other psu banks and rarely does refund on allotment day:) Kotak, Icici, idfc and many other private banks are good in fast unblock of funds. And yes best of luck for your bid!

Why ppl are suggesting not to apply with same lot size. What I learnt from BOA is that consecutive rows denote range of investment. If we fall in that range, we will be considered for that lottery grp.

@krishnaji Thank you for correcting me. Looks like Kotak is the fastest private bank....by evening even before allotment is out, they update the status of the application on their website.

its going very slow in HNI, looks like going sigachi way where funds were not left after applied in other ipos so that was subscribed only 175 times even after being very small issue. Lets see if it can cross 200X-250X or not.

Any Prediction on Final figures for HNi??. Looks like people HNI folks applied everything in Medplus and other Mapps ... Virtually No funds... Really surprised me.. I thought people waiting for this company to apply full force.. Hope HNI quoto will cross 150 times.. Lets see

@Mog - Totally! Even in Medplus HNI picked up at just about 1:30-1:45 pm and here too in DP its picked up post 2 pm. Something to keep in mind...

@neo: no one will be able to beat sigachi for sure for most profitable listing in 2021 , it listed with 267% gains (premium). And it already crossed 1 lakh cr thing now total. it had gone upto 1.1 lakh cr till last time and that will also be crossed when data patterns will cross 300X in HNI.

@neolongus Not post 2 pm bet exactly before 2pm. 1:45pm to 2pm most of the offline and nbfc bids come in as most of them have a cut off time of 2pm.
The way hni subscription was increasing in these few minutes, i got really worried. 😅

@Mog...yehi toh problem hai...that SBI also has a cutoff time of 2 pm. Somehow these different cutoff times of banks and ability to accept UPI mandates till next day are unfair in some sense, IMHO. Some gain from it and some don''t as much.

@lokes I have capacity of 25 lots in another account. Looks like hni would be better than retail on probability basis. In hni lottery which lot size should i go for?

@Mog: ya apply in HNI with all 25 lots instead of retail. In smaller lots, any lot size is fine since many applicants will be there for each and chances will be actual as per lot applied. So go with maximum possible lots means 25 lots.
Assuming you have enough funds to apply in upcoming ipos in retail at least ;)

One chance if you want to take, then you can keep these 25 lots For HP tomorrow to apply in HNI there for better chances of allotment there, since allotment will be tough there in retail. (as per QIB/HNI subscription you can decide to apply there in HNI tomorrow) then you can apply in data with 1 lot in retail since anyways chances with 25 lots will also be very less.

In the end applied for around 200 lots. was having second thoughts whether to go all retail as GMP is crashing. But ended up applying in 1 HNI and 2 retail accounts. Thought it best to take 1 IPO at a time. Will plan for supriya next. Though chances are tough still hope Mapmyindia gives some good news,

@mravi no issues. Good to know that you tried in retail although with such subscription numbers, the chances are very low but not impossible.

I did a mistake. I had capacity to apply with 21 lots in DP. But I thought HP adhesive could be a dark horse and save money to apply in that. But HP adhesive didn''t proved to be a dark horse. Now not even applying in retail in HP adhesive. So 21 lots remained Idle now.
Lets see, if this 21 lots will be any meaningful in Supriya.

@Noorul - I did not took risk in HP because, I have already took risks in RateGain and MetroBrands. In rate gain i was hoping or 10% and and metro 5-7%, but due market conditions i guess will have to bear loss. Limited risk is fine, too much is harmful.
@Vibhor - HP adhesives QIB subscription is too low for a small IPO. And bad market condition seem to continue next week(in fact i envisage bad market condition to continue for alot longer time)
@ultrasnow - i agree DP should be preferred choice over HP, but i didn''t applied either of them as HNI. Thought 21 lots in DP will be even worse than retail application. Was expecting 450x in HNI. But with 254x, 21 lots look good, a 1/11 chance. All the best to you.

Alotted 1/1 in HNI. Dont know whether to be happy or not.... But I dont suppose this will list in discount for sure. Fifth straight allotment at the same no of lot application (much below final HNI subscription figure).
No luck continues in retail 0/3. Retail allotments this year reads horrendous ones.... ABSL*2, Glenmark, Rategain, Krsnaa, Vijaya.....and many others almost all are profit making companies yet avail at discount to IPO price.
While many loss making companies alotted in HNI have given good listing gains. The market learning phase continues....over to 2022.
