Why Retail participation is low in Concord Biotech?

Usually big size ipo reserve 10% for retail. But this one has 35% Retail. Almost 500 Crore for retail. Compared to a 500 crore ipo with 10% retail is 50 crore.

Secondly grey market fell due to yatharth.
Third it landed after SBFC super hot. So peoples money got attracted to better IPO.
And other reasons whicj I dont know.

@vvs not big, but loss making IPOs have 10% for RII.
Also, it's an average IPO, not a big IPO like LIC, Paytm, SBI Cards, Zomato...

In stock market whatever suits you is the best strategy. If you sold the share within a year , one have to pay the short term gain ( Tax) and after a year it converts in to Long term gain. I am thinking seriously before selling any stock within a year to save a tax. But this strategy is fine in some cases but may not be fit for all cases. Showing the stock price at the time of listing and present price, just for reference and need not to change your strategy but for study purpose only.

I think people like me who mainly apply for listing gain purpose need to be alert from now onwards.
Big players would continue to play games and get the shares close to IPO allotment price.

@GrayIsTheNewBlack Totally agree with you on this.. I also mostly sell on listing and one should stick to it..one should have clear in his mind that if he is a trader or investor.

Aur jaise ke apne apni post me kaha ki Big players will play game and buy around listing price to fir kya karenge?? 1-2 listing tak to hum apne emotions control kar sakte hai uske baad?? Main iske bare me keh raha tha.. aapne kaha alert hona padega lekin alert hone ke baad bhi hamare haath me kuchh nahi hai.. alert hokar bhi agar yatharth ki tarah hi flat listing hui to hume to apni strategy ke mutabik nikalna hi padega..

@Tejas Pandya , yes absolutely nikalna hoga as per rule.
I sold my Yatharth allotment in pre-open as decided, uske baad kise pata upar aayega ya niche jaayega.
Remember Dharmaj, agar pre-open me nahi becha hota to hafte bhar 270 se 170 aa gaya tha.
