Buying in two instalments at 800 & 600 is good idea.
This IPO made rich the shareholders (Investment Bankers & P/E Investors) at the expense of the poor. Out of IPO of 1.67 crore equity shares, the sale of only 0.74 crore was fresh issue that will go for lending purpose while the rest i.e. 0.93 crore shares was offer for sale by different investors that directly went to their kitty. Most of them have recovere the entire investment and are still holding considerable shares in the company. No wonder, its Book Value (Networth) is whopping 7.52 times, but some PSU Banks RoE is better than this company.
How come the market will give such high book value despite its low RoE compared to few PSU Banks?
Grameen Bank charges an average 18.5% interest p.a., while SKS interest rate is as high as 28% p.a. This rate will further rise if we include the normal insurance & other processing fees levied before handing-out the cash. Even, private bank's unsecured personal loan hardly crosses 20% p.a.
JP Morgan expects to report an EPS of 48.4 for 2010-11 (up 80% year-on-year) and 73 for 2011-12. RoE to be in the range of 23 - 24% for FY 2011-13 up from 22% in 2009-10.
Most brokerage house have a NEUTRAL to BEARISH Rating. Motilal Oswal advises investors to buying the stock once it fall to sub-700 levels.
I think in the morning it will list around 260 - 270. may come down to 255 and then once QIB/mutual funds starts buying it....by EOD it can touch 290 - 300..
3074 Ryan nice calculation.....its since the issue closed i am collecting views from different points and the least nos are 185 whereas max nos are 242 .............so here i must say it is between 185 and 242.......
yes,this is true that lic has made application for around 14000 crores,out of which they will be allotted shares of around 600 crores only.......being the largest financial institution of nation,lic would certainly like to have a larger chunk of this company....if lic deploys even 50%of its application money in buying shares from secondary market,the entire retail portion would be cornered.....so just think of price of this share if that becomes realty
I applied 2 full applications @ cut off. one on my name & another one on my spouse name. I have sharekhan trading a/c with same DP. Now anybody pls help me out if I can sale my alloted share on listing day but how do I sell my spouse alloted shares on listing day.
It depends whats your view - If for Investment, go for CIL. It looks after touching high ( close to 325 ) on the listing day, definitely its going to come down, you can look to buy during intraday or close to mkt closing.
Afterall, If you get, 255 is not a bad buy for medium to long term investors..
Please tell me those who have appplied 175 shares will be alloted how many shares ? What is a grey Market premium as on date ? How script will do from 1 year perspective ?
Someone did analysis before...i am just pasting here

Hi all, Coal India RIIs actually oversubscribed 2.10 times (after adjustment of unsubscribed portion of employees), so everyone who applied for 400 shares, will get 190 shares each. What is the GMP of Gravita India Ltd., is it another BS Transcomm?
@ 3071 - Rajvardhan - You will be allocated 100 shares for sure. {assuming the retail is over subscribed by 2 times {excluding incorrect applications + Incorrect Bid + Addition of Employee Quota }
