But could not understand why some were alloted 200 shares while others were alloted 199 shares for 400 applied.

just remove " i " from axis bank no and then see 100% you will get the allot status

Coal India has allotted shares to every retail investor. if the buzz is correct it can list at 375 and latter peak at 450. this may happen because many FII will be buying this stock for long term point of view. my personnel target for long term is 1000/- per share.
