Although Coal India India is worlds largest coal manufacture but it is cheapest coal seller in the world as well.

it can never earn extraordinary profits (as in the case of BPCL-HPCL)because it will be always used as a tool to curb inflation. so this will be public welfare company instead of investor welfare company.

so apply only if u do it for long term no immediate gains expected.

If by bad luck, listing day market crashes who will buy coal. sabko koot dega.

ITS A BIG SIZE IPO OF RS. 5000 CRORES IN RETAIL. IT MAY SUBSCRIBE AROUND 2-3 TIMES ONLY IN RETAIL AND WE WILL GET 40000 - 50000 ALLOTMENT IN THIS IPO. RPOWER LISTED AT 10% DISCOUNT BUT IT GAVE HARDLY 7000 ALLOTMENT PER APPLICANT NO BIG DEAL.

BUT IF THIS IPO LOSSES YOU BY 10% YOU WILL LOOSE AROUND 4000-5000 PER APPLICATION. IF THIS IPO REMAINS 1-2 TIMES THAN THIS LOSS MAY BE EVEN HIGER.

it will second nhpc NHPc is working company coalindia is company
enging india is working company there is no listing gain as well as coal india so application sell in grey market so it is benifit for retails

last week fndo settlment, coal india closed money back,people enjoy for diwali so expeture money so market will down and more crus after coalindia listing 4/11/10 that time market down so no profit in share listing so coal india apply in grey market

in rajkot 3400/3500 only seller no buyers sell and enjoy

Dear friend ... there is no comparsion between reliance power and coal india ... r Powr started with zero production capacity.... Coal India having its monopoly in its business and already sitting on cash reserve.....

Dear Frnds,
Reliance Power had already given “ZOR KA JHATKA DHEERE SE”, to many investors.
Having a Govt. tag this is certainly not like Reliance Power but like NHPC and all other jokers.
So be sure that there will be limited profit or even may be a slite loss. Why one should rush madly even for limited gains.
This has govt. tag so be prepared for gain like any debt fund in long term on like NTPC in best case.
There are many other counters one can look to invest as long term which has most potent objective of retail category.
I don’t see any major negative in this IPO but at the same time I am also not bullish.
Because the size of this IPO may play dangerous role for the entire phenomenal run of the market.

Although I am not fully agree by @675 but I like the intension of the contents only:
