Any body can quote any things in India.
You have to see the actual application form published by the merchant banker or some advertisement done by the issuing company.
I have not come across any of such thing. SEBI guide line till Friday is one lakhs only. If that changed overnight I do not know. You can apply for 2 lakhs but that would not be counted in retail category. This is the risk of getting less allotment !!

@ 877 & 884 :If different : date of birth , address , pan card then you take a chance you will get allotment in both a/c.

If date of birth and name same then do not go for two application.

AS PER CNBC AWAAZ, IT IS QUOTING THAT THE RETAIL LIMIT FOR COAL INDIA IPO IS 2 LACS. IS IT TRUE?

As per low, You can apply as many applications as you want in single pan card and same demat account. There is no such restriction on part of your side.. You need to have money for the same.There is no legal binding for the same. No one can catch you for the more than one applications you have done.

Its illegal to have two PAN Cards, if you are caught you will be in deep trouble.

i have 1 name , date of birth is different on both the pan cards and pan numbers are also different. Now, Can i Apply in 2 applications.
