Rather than debating whether caol india will list at premium or discount it is the time for everyone of us in the investor community to feel proud of the nation as it has created history today by collecting a whooping amount of Rs. 1,82,000 crore till now and some more to follow tomorrow.

This illustrates the trust on Indian economy and growth prospects going ahead by FII's/DII's/Retail etc and is really a cherishing movement for all one of us.

I am writing this inspite of not applied in Oberoi, thereby not enjoyed the listing gains today. Congrats to Oberoi allottees.

coal is not gold ,it is a diamond . The rate of the gold is low & the rate of the diomand is high . it is a very good ipo do apply & earn money .

Best suggestion....... As market is tricky and hanky panky.. So there are some chances of Coal IPO getting opened at less price band. so best is to buy on listing.. As the opening wud be not too high and its gonna give more returns in long term than in short terms... Also if u loose then it wont be more but painful :-)))

While there are number of votaries for and against Coal India IPO,you may also consider this.
By the sheer size of the issue, Coal India has to be a part of the index sooner than later.
It will also be a part of MSCI Asian Index shortly, in a matter of months.
Once it is a part of index, the demand naturally goes up.
Most of the Mutual funds,FIIs,Insurance companies who will be putting their money in the India growth story must own a piece of this stock.
There is no way any of the big institutional investors can be away from this stock.
Whether they like it or not it will be a part of most indices that matter.And they need to be invested in index stocks!!
The issue has already been subscribed many times over.
Issue is a hit.

With all this the BOTTOM LINE is APPLY.
Get allotment, hold for medium to long term.
You will do much better than trying to make a quick buck on listing gains.

sell your application
(bank gives 8% on 1 yr hear you get 5% in just 15 days)
people blame Rpower where as premium was given 10,000 on application
retail investor became more greedy so they lost their money

so those don't want to take risk sell your application
those who want to take risk
on listing date Rs. 250/- level is crucial
if share goes below Rs. 250/- my advice would be sell
then it can touch Rs. 220/- or even below
at that level you can buy
but if it remains above Rs. 250/- you might see Rs. 280/- to RS. 300/- level

Strong sell at RS. 280/- - 300/- level
Strong bull at Rs. 200/- - 215/- level

I hope Retail Portion will get subscribed 4 times and each application will get about 100 shares. You can expect about Rs. 40 per share including the Discount and a total profit of about Rs. 4000 per application.
