retailer part should suscribe atleat by 2.5 times so you will get less than half of the lot you have applied for the situation is exactly like Reliance Power arroung couple of years back and market tumbled after listing R power
SOME PERVERTED GUYS ARE SCARING AWAY PEOPLE AND IN ORDER TO REDUCE THE RETAIL SUBSCRIPTION SO THAT THEY CAN CORNER MORE SHARES!
I THINK CHITTORGARH MODERATOR IS HANDS IN GLOVE WITH THESE GUYS

COAL INDIA WILL LIST ON 4TH NOVEMBER. I THINK INVESTORS SHOULD NOT SEE ALWAYS THE LISTING PRICE. I WILL BE HOWERING AROUND RS. 235-260 ON LISTING DAY. AND MAY GO TO DISCOUNT. SO BE LONG TERM THERE.
Yes, Same happened with me, I literally struggled with HDFCsec.com for 1 hour, tab jaake kahi ipo ka page open hua and uske baad jab apply karne gaya to error aa gaya :-(
Pata nahi apply kar paonga ya nahi, saalo ki sab phone lines bhi busy aa rahi hein...doosre account se paise transfer karke 1 lakh jama kiya tha HDFC mein... lagta hein koi fayda nahi hoga.. missed opportunity...
NEVER EVER OPEN HDFCSEC DEMAT ACCOUNT (JANTA KE HEET MEIN JAARI...)
1717 apply i am sure you will make minimum 250 on one lot means 25 share and there is less chance of making loss i have heard that after listing coal india is part of nifty and sensex thats why many mutual fund who have index fund must buy this stock and see fii holding in stock which is in nifty and sensex is between 35 to 40 percent and genral public is between 5 to 10 percent becouse genral public have tendency of losing money in market see there holding in any poor fundamental stock genral public has 40 to 50 percent shares apply this ipo is excellent fundamental which should be in every one portfolio some trade with technical and some fundamental there is no such chart data that any one can trade with technical so fundamental will work becouse all will apply only watching fundamental of this company so apply and make profit there is only few percent chance that it will go down only if genral public who are retail investors who sell on listing day there entire holdings which fii will grab happy investing day trader

hi all this is a very gud ipo to invest .all those who are talkin that this will list in discount saying only rubbish.this is indian govt. company and worlds largest coal company so no need to worry.
coal india k listing k time market bahut hi down rahega, isi liye coal india ka listing karib 190-200 pe hoga , ye conform hi hai, dekh lena sabhi invester ko loss hi loss hoga, ye itna bada ipo hai ki is ipo ko absorb hone me kam se kam 1 se 2 saal lagange, fir uske baad ye ipo apne ipo k price k trade karega tab tak sabhi invester ko coal india k share rakhne padenge. mari mano coal india k ipo ko avoid karo or listing k baad discount pe jab mile tab buy karo, sarkar sabhi ko bewkoof bana rahi hai, kuch to socho 180-205 wala ye share hame 245 pe de rahi hai or fir kah rahi hai ki humne retailer ko 5% discount de rahe hai, are bhai discount pe bhi ye share bahut hi mahnga hai, is lye is ipo se door hi raho, baki to hum kuch nahi kar sakta , jinko bhi apna mooh kala karna hai wo kare,
20x P/E for utility company could be costly. However, QIB response, the fact that it could be included in Nifty / Sensex & also in BRIC & other global indices gives confidence to apply.
It is a large issue. Once if it sees a price of 280+, it may witness selling pressure, probably within 10 minutes of listing & end the day with marginal premium to issue price.
The biggest risk is Mining Bill. Long-term investors need to re-enter once Mining Bill becomes law. I am not investing for long-term till dust settle about Mining Bill.
If Nifty cracks 5780 unexpetedly, then IPO investors may take loss. If that is the worry for investors, then stock market is not the place for them. Let them go for fixed deposits.
