Depends. If you apply more than minimum required than it is guaranteed else lottery. e.g. Chemcon is expected 500x so if you apply for 75 lacs you get guaranteed else lottery where allotment is much more difficult than retail lottery.
Management Red Flags In 2018 Promoters of the Chemcon speciality chemicals like Navdeep Naresh Goyal & Minal Kamalkumar Aggarwal were involved in the unethical activities : Insider Trading under Sec [7(2) & 6(2)] and Takeover Resolution under Sec [29(2)] Links : https://trendlyne.com/equity/insider-trading-sast/custom/?query=navdeep%20naresh%20goyal https://trendlyne.com/equity/insider-trading-sast/custom/?query=Minal%20Kamal%20Aggarwal

. . Chemcon Speciality Chemicals IPO – *Market’s Current Estimates of oversubscription*:
RII = 24L Forms = 32.26X Applic. wise (Avg allotment of ~1.36 shares per lot) NII = 18K Crs. = ~377.36X
Interest cost *@8.00%p.a.* for 7days = 52.16paise for 1X
Thus, for NII the costing = 377.36 X 52.16paise = Rs.196.85 per share (= GMP)
And, for RII the costing = 1.36 X 196.85 = Rs.268/- (= Kostak)
Motilal oswal saying that as per SEBI new rulesfor IPO in retail portion we can not apply via net banking or ASBA, as application is likely to be rejected.. While Sharekhan saying that as per SEBI new rules for IPO in retail portion we can apply via net banking or ASBA & application will not be rejected.. Please guide whom shall I listen..
If invested under HNI category, say the overall IPO is over subscribed by 10 times and I bid for 2.5 lacs, I get 25k worth of shares? And I need to have 2.5 lacs in my account for it to be blocked right, its nto. loan that bank gives?
