@MAMU brother, let me explain. For ease, let's take round figures HNI 4× and retail 8× . Say there are 1200 shares. Initial allocation was 50% to each, say 600 each. Now, since HNI is less subscribed than retail, so to have retail chances of allocation not less than HNI, shares will be reallocated in the ratio of subscription by transferring some shares to retail from HNI. New ratio of allocation will be 4: 8 between HNI and retail, meaning 400 shares for HNI and 800 shares for retail. In effect 200 shares out of 600 shares (1/3rd) of HNI's initial allocation will go to retail. Hope, it clarifies.

No sir. Since I said, chances are made equal for both retail and HNI, so go by average or toal subscription. Here it's 6× . So allotment chances for both will be 1/6 for HNI and retail. Anyone HNI with 6 lots will get 1 lot alloted.

To understand that in the context of above example, HNI 4× means 600×4 = 2400 shares applied. Retail 8× means 600×8= 4800 shares applied. Now, after reallocation HNI portion reduces to 400 (600-200) and retail portion goes up to 800 (600+200). The ratio of HNI will be shares available divided by shares applied I.e. 400÷2400=1/6. Similarly Retail ratio will be 800÷4800= 1/6. Both equal to average or total combined subscription.

I have applied 7 times in hni. According to change in allocation ratio. Now i wont get 2 lots in hni @true

@ Trueinfo - I dont think this is the correct calculation because in past every time I have been allotted more lots than the Proportion, like I have applied for 9 lots in this IPO, and according to me, I will get at least 2 lots for sure.
Pls correct me if I am wrong.

@DINESH KR May be it was not fix price ipo that's why.

Discount listing only possible if Nifty Breaks, else at par or Positive listing will be there. Cant predict the direction after Listing.
