Your application will be valid but will be considered for allotment for one lot. No benefit for applying two or more lots in retail category if the IPO is subscribed by more than one times application wise.

IPO Allotment to Retail Individual Investors As far as the retail individual investors (RIIs) are concerned, the process of allocation of shares is different. The maximum amount which retail investors can apply per IPO is Rs. 2 lakh. In order to determine the total demand for shares in the retail investor category, all the applications are grouped together and the total number of applications are calculated. If the number of applications are more than the number of shares offered for retail investors, the maximum RIIs who are eligible for the allotment of the minium bid lot are determined. The total number of equity shares available for allotment to RIIs is divided by the minimum bid lot. This gives the maximum number of RIIs who can be allotted the shares. For example - If shares worth Rs. 20 lakh need to be allotted to the retail segment and the minimum lot size is Rs. 10,000, only a maximum of 200 applicants will be allotted the shares with the minimum lot of Rs. 10,000. If the number of RIIs exceed the maximum RII allottees, the RIIs (in that category) who will be eligible for the minimum bid lot will be determined on the basis of draw of lots. This is a computerised process and hence there is no room for partiality.

You checked only on NSE.
(NSE+BSE) NII : 0.30x RII : 2X Employee : 0.05x
QIBs usually fire on last day in good IPOs . Employee Quota is not fair as their employees are usually on high post and hold stake in the form of ESOPs like BSE.
some people are trying to fool us by saying this time they will bet in HNI category but in real they dont spend even a single penny in penny stock IPOs like Tejas. Today HNIs and then tomorrow they will say we will bet as QIBs.So what ? Should we believe them ? Not at all. Their posts are eligible only for LOLs
Can our IPO Gurus or anyone shed some light on the allottment process in diff scenarios, e.g. when Retail is 4x subscribed v/s when it is 10x subscribed?
I was of the understanding that if i apply e.g 12 lots and issue is 4x subscribed, i will get 12/4 = 3 lots whereas someone applying for 1 lot only would not get any allotment.
By this logic, in case of 10x subscription, shouldnt the person applying for 12 lots get atleast one, whereas someone applying only 1 lot shouldnt get any.
Is my understanding correct or not? Also, is the same logic followed for allotment in all IPOs?
subscription calculate based on number of application received . if it subscribe 4 times . out of every 4 application one person will get one lot maximum even he applied 10 lots . if i am wrong please correct me .
What are the long term prospects of investing in CDSL? What are its revenue sources? Can someone please throw some light? Can we hold this share for long term?
