Weak hands are swapped out from the ipo.. total 1.8 crores shares. In which retail quota was 50 % that 90 lacs. I could that 55 lacs was sold within first 15 min of listing. that means saare chutiye kat chuke hai.. mostly.. ab sirf strong hi bache hai is share ke ipo me.
for all the retailers who have been allotted, its time to decide if you are an investor or a trader. Look at the company fundamentals and not at current market sentiments (SGX NIFTY are all down today). Look at the business model and not at GMP.
I have got one lot and will average and hold for long term.
There is no sound business model in cartrade. Their expert review of cars talk about the quality of management. Mostly biased without real praise or real critical comment. Why, industry is like that if any hard review comes, car manufacturers can make these portals life miserable...

Yeh kya ho gaya bhai? 100+ GMP negative mein tha kya?
Exactly., patience is the key to get handsome returns. Phase is bearish ,but seems like bullish. Once it settles down for Q1 and Q2 results.... people will know what they missed .....

If anyone ready to forsake the greed of (uncertain) 2000 rupees(per lot), than there is no harm to leave this IPO unattended. I am not applying in any of the four running IPOs.
Even I am also thinking only for 2000 take risk and wait for 7 days block your hard earn money is not worth GMP is 2000 earlier it was 5000 so already 3000 loss so better if you avoid
Zomato, a non profitable foodtech platform is valued at 1 lakh crore and the market seems not much bothered by it.
CarTech, a profitable autotech platform is asking for a valuation if 7,500 cr. and that is seeming too much for the market?
(I know Zomato is overvalued, but my point would be the same even if Zomato was valued at half or a quarter of its current valuation).
I agree that the auto sector has been struggling for the last few years, but covid induced hygine cautiousness plus potential reduction in population density of cities (as WFH becomes a part of life) might actually make owning vehicles a sensible choice.
Buying vehicles really is a tedious process, especially buying second hand ones. Which means that once the trust sets in, people will prefer to buy vehicles online, just like we are doing with apparels, food, and appliances.
I don''t know about listing gain, and I know that there is significant risk, but I also feel that there is a significant oppertunity for growth as well. It''s possible CarTrade turns out to be a flake. But I think it''s more likely that it might, in the long term, turn out to be a good investment.
Because that''s the thing about tech companies, they can pivot. Just like Zomato can make cloud kitchens, CarTrade can start vehicle rentals (they already have a 100+ auto malls), and a new significant vertical comes into being.
There is still risk cause I don''t really know anything about the management yet.
But at the same time, this is a platform that has broken into profitability just a few years back (the retained earnings is still -Rs 150 cr.). Debt is pretty low and PAT is growing steadily (from a PAT of Rs 26 cr. to an effective PAT of Rs 39 cr. in the last 3 fiscals).
Which means that if these numbers are sustainable, then there''s a good chance this company is standing on the brink of growth.
Hence I''m applying for this issue. Not because I can''t forgo a greed of 2k, but because a part of me tells me that short term disappointments, if any, will eventually be eclipsed by long term growth.
(I understand your stance too, I just wanted people to have the other perspective as well.)
Bhaiyo... Jaldibaazi mat karo... be make yourself strong. Dont sell in losses.
It is very easy to sell in losses but get the profit is not simple. I think it is a very very new experience for Very Very New investors. so pls stuck with the share.
Such company always reply on good market image due to their nature of business. They don''t know that their business will be hugely affected in time due to the listing.
