@Review Guru Applying from different UPI IDs from same demat a/c, would work. Applying from different demat a/cs with same UPI ID is the point of contention now.( Bhumika would try this and would let us know)
My understanding is that the registrar would check if there are multiple applications against same PAN Card (or same UPI ID/ASBA) and thus reject those entries.

@kunal Bal But i got allotted in various ipo''s with different upi and different demat Got allotted in Gr infra, Shyam metallics, Ipl, cartade, indigo paints and more.
My allotments since I started subscribing to IPOs in Dec 2020: Antony Waste -- 1 MTAR Tech - 1 SONA Comstar - 198 shares IPL - 1 Clean Science - 1 CarTrade - 1 I apply only with one PAN and one Demat A/C-- ICICI Direct
I am not lucky. But please make me understand, I applied for Car trade 2 Lots amounting to Rs3,78,612 under HNI . They are returning 364050. Rs 14562 is deducted for what don''t know.
@Growing.... Congrats, these are pretty good numbers. Here, Is the denominator indicative of the number of different pancard accounts or are you indicating lots applied from a single account ?
Also, how are you applying - a. Were most IPOs applied on first day or last day ? b. how many applied using ASBA or UPI ? c. how many applied using 3rd party application ? d. which brokerage was used
Different pan card UPI zerodha I apply whenever I have some free time from office Whether it is first day or last I have applied on all days Only upi applications through zerodha from different pan card accounts P. S. I got 8 allotment out of these from single account (of my wife''s account)
1/2 I was watching this allotment closely to check my application validity. So far I was allotted for, 1. Same demat, same SBI asba 2. Different demat, own sbi asba 3. Same demat, same upi Not allotted for, 4. Different demat, own upi ( this is invalid) So this means all my applications were valid Asba has better success rate than UPI So don''t lose hope, don''t curse linkintime. I was allotted only from linkintime. No luck in kfin so far. This is purely lottery. Hope this helps many new member.
@Vantage Name of demat and name of the account attached to that UPI are different. Ex. Your relative''s demat, your UPI In this case, better to send the money to relative''s bank account and apply from that UPI

My upi and my mother demat a/c and i got allotment
@Review Guru I could be wrong here, but I''ve seen seniors are agreeing to same. For me IRFC allotment was failed due to this. Then I switched to ASBA which allows 5 different application for each IPO
@Bhumika >Payment source does not matter. When you say this ,
If someone is using 3rd party appln , then payment source doesnt matter - This is confirmed.
What is not confirmed that if one is not using 3rd party appln and gives a upi id belonging to a different pancard , then does the appln get rejected? @Kunal Bal , is this the same way you also tried... ?
@Vantage I think you did not read my previous post properly. Let me explain:
1. Mostly broker platforms or broking apps accept UPI payment only for IPO applications. Right? (I am Not talking about net-banking ASBA here) 2. Here during the application, you can use anyone''s UPI for the payment of the IPO application. You can also use your own UPI.
NB: Do not get confused with PAN or Demat. They do not care about matching all these shits. It just does not matter. Just enjoy the service. Simply think this way: If someone wants to sell their products/items in shops, do they care about payment methods? Nope... Payment can be from any source. Same here. You can try it in the next IPOs and check.
@Bhumika https://www.chittorgarh.com/faq_pg/can-i-apply-for-two-ipo-applications-using-one-upi-id-in-an-ipo/2588/ Please read this. Some one selling product and IPO offering are "apple to orange" comparison. There is SEBI for a reason. When you apply an IPO with with your own UPI id, you can not apply the same IPO again (with different PAN) with same UPI id. That''s what happened to me in IRFC.
@Kunal But what i am not able to get around is the fact that @Kunal Bal did use a non 3rd party application route and used a different UPI acc and this failed for him. So , Kunal did it fail before the allotment i.e. zerodha didnt allow you or did you pancard showed invalid on the day of declaration of "basis of allotment"
@Bhumika I also see people posting that registrars during allotment check for the pancards across the board for any duplicate entries, what is that then ?
@Vantage Read this piece taken from zerodha help. ------------------------------------------------------------ Enter your UPI ID and click on ‘verify’. Make sure this is the UPI ID mapped to your personal bank account. The IPO application is liable to get rejected if the person who is applying is different from the one whose bank account is used to apply. ------------------------------------------------------------- Hope this answers your query
@Krunal Bal I did not try the Same UPI many times for the same IPO application. I just tried one random UPI per one IPO application. (No matter who''s Demant is) There may be something else for your application that got rejected. I think you should try a better broker like Angel. It''s free. I will try the next 5 IPO applications with the same UPI (linked with the same bank) and will let you know. I am confident that all 5 applications will be submitted successfully to NSE and considered for allotment. At this stage do not think that allotment will be 100% sure. Of course, it depends on luck/lottery. We are just talking about the reason for the application''s rejection. Here we only want "an application must get submitted successfully to NSE."
Zerodha is not NSE. You should read what the NSE website says, not any broker. Again saying, try to move to the best broker like Angel. NB: I have used many brokers but none come close to Angel. I like this feature in Angel: You can transfer shares easily between any Demats from their integrated page.

I applied cartrade from one upi and for 3 demat acc. And got 3/3
Thank you for sharing the valuable review. Now, I will use the same UPI for around 10 different Demat holders for the 1 same IPO application. Using different UPIs everything was a headache.
