If you are applying for more than a Lakh / 2 Lakh in Shares, You will also keep a Close tab on Income Tax Compliances or else they will send you notice.

I am unable to apply the IPO from HDFC Netbanking. Is anyone else also facing the same problem? Also, can anyone please let me know what should be entered in "Beneficiary A/C no"? Should it be the 8 digit DP account number or the 16 digit DPID+DP A/C number?

While adding Beneficial Account first you need to select NSDL or CDSL.
CDSL have 16 Digit Account Number starts with 12044700........
Where
NSDL have DP I''d and Client Id starts with IN...

Are Dormant/Inactive Demat accounts considered for allotting. One of the Demat account that I want to apply from, is a friends account and is dormant and he does not have time to get it activated right now. Just wanted to know if they will reject my account because the demat is dormant.
