I guess this is the optimal allocation you can do which will maximise allotment chances.

1 big hni, 7 small hni, rest retail.

4app 41 lot each=610572*4=24.42 lac
6 app 1lot. =14892*6=. 0.90 lac appx

Is this some magic figure having better chance of allotment in sHNI? What will be the lottery rule in sHNI are you aware? @Lokes suggesting to only apply 14 lots in sHNI!!

Request you to add Net issue size (net offer) also in every ipo main page in ipo details section, wherever we have employee category or shareholder or policyholder category. you can even add these category shares/amount also.
That will be handy for any calculations. Please add that here or in LIC ipo at least if not here.

@admin @team chittorgarh: As i informed above, please add net offer also in ipo details so that people are clear. you are adding below info but not giving info about net offer size. Better to add net offer size column also and other columns also if applicable , like employee, shareholders, policyholders quota.

It depends how many amount you have in each account.

This should clear your doubt..... I asked and received a mail from Linkintime. Reproducing it here for clarification of one and all, although Senior members viz Lokes etal had made it ample clear.

This is with reference to the trail, we wish to inform that the allotment to each Non-Institutional Bidder shall not be less than the Minimum NIB Application Size, i.e. Rs 2.0 Lakhs, subject to the availability of Equity Shares in the Non-Institutional Portion, and the remaining Equity Shares, if any, shall be allotted on a proportionate basis.

In case Oversubscription of both HNI category in case application get selected in allotment process applicant received minimum lot i.e.714 shares.

@ObserverEye Thanks for your effort.. This mail resolves the confusion many are having. Now it seems 10L + category would be the best bet with 2/3rd portion of HNI quota available. If one is confident and has done thorough research on company go for exact 68 lots ...that's it..SEBI has made it simple ..

What happens if i apply for 50L worth of stocks?

Total no of Big HNI lots in Campus is 6688 -
Case 1 - If there are more than 6688 applicants in Big HNI ( assume 8000 ) , 6688 out of 8000 will be allotted in lottery . Applying 50L does not guarantee a lot here as your 50L application will be in lottery.

Case 2 - If Less than than 6688 applicants in Big HNI ( Assume 5000) , then all 5000 applied will get 14 lots , remaining 1688 lots will be allotted on proportionate basis. Applying 50 L will help here for additional lots .

This is my understanding, correct me if am wrong.
