Look if IPOs do not list at a premium gain then it would be very difficult to get full subscription for IPOs, unless they are from an established brand or parent companies have an extra ordinary presence in secondary market. Now draw your own conclusions.

But bank like ICICI isnt allowing to change the PAN# to minor PAN; they are saying it has to be under parent PAN# until they turn major or 18; in this case one cant apply using bank ASAB due to PAN# difference.
any insights on this? I have minor ICICI account and sharekhan trading minor account; used to apply using SBI thrd party ASAB now its stopped from SBI online - I used SBI yuno lite this time around but when I checked minor's bank account realized that its under parent PAN# - when consulted bank - says they can change only minor becomes major.

@ahirer: ya 10 lakh category will have better chances....only thing is everyone should be careful in future in choosing ipo or in applying in HNI as per their own risk capacity to handle this much of allotment.....if sometimes big HNI category is not over subscribed application wise then people will end up getting in more than 2 lakh allotments even.....so even if someone applying in big HNI category then better use 10 lakh amount application only (minimum application) until he is really big investor like @MRavi sir etc...

@navdeep: don't click cut off in any hni category, some banks even give error if we click cut off while applying in hni....just enter price 292 and number of shares....

How minimum 14 lots??
As in past IPOs which were over subscribed.
Only minimum 1 lot was alloted and then proportionate allotment was done.

Yes minimum should be one lot not 14 or 68

In 10 Lakh above category, the minimum allotment will be for 67 lots

In Higher HNI category minimum allocation will be 67 lots

I have done enough study before posting so I am almost sure about whatever i said in my original post here and there is no doubt and confusion in this and in any of new HNI rule.....minimum allotment will be 14 lots in both HNI category.

@upg: that was in past, now this is as per new sebi rules for ipos starting from 1st april 2022....

@everyone: Whoever applying in HNI category, then apply 14lots or 68 lots only in small and big HNI category respectively, as per funds available, and as per your risk/holding capacity etc. Don't choose other lot sizes in any hni category.
Only in case you are able to handle more than 2 lakh allotment, then you can try with as much amount as possible in big HNI category.

@ Lokes - Considering that Large HNI subscribed for say 100x in Campus and i have applied for 68 lots ( min app in Large HNI ) and someone who applied for say 5 cr in Large HNI . Both the applications will be in Lottery and 1 among these applicants will get 14 lots right ?

Raising this question to clear my doubt, since you have asked to apply for 68 lots in Big HNI category.

Small HNI rules are very clear: 3357 applicants get 14 lot each if oversubscribed, But Large HNI rules not clear in any document. Whether 68 or 14 lots will be allotted is not clear. Logically it should be 68 lots here. Let see BOA.

It should be lottery system in both HNI category. Only confusion is whether we are getting 14 lots or 68 lots in Big HNI. 68 seems more logical.

Harsh , My question was on Big HNI category alone . To be more precise, applying 1 or 13 lots in retail will only fetch 1 lot in lottery if the subscription is more than 1X . Same way i want to know applying for 10.12 lakhs or 5 crores in campus will result in getting 14 lots alone in lottery . this was my understanding and just want to validate that with the experienced folks here.

you simplified the maths in very simple words, that either 14 or 68 lot application in respective category.

@c.dinesh: yes both 68 lot applicant and 5 cr amount applicant will get 14 lot allotment in large HNI category but only in case of over subscription APPLICATION wise, means only if there are more than approx 6700 (10% of Net offer amount divide by 14 lot amount) investors in this category, no matter anyone is applying 68 lots or 5 cr or 50 cr , so even with 100X actual subscription in HNI, we cant say that application wise it is over subscribed or not since we don't know who has applied for how much amount.

And its not easy to have 6700 people applying for more than 10 lakhs amount, it may be possible here in campus being good gmp or still may not be, need to see but in other average ipos, people should be enough careful before applying in big HNI category as per ipo issue size and gmp and company profile else it will be too much risky for many people.

We cant get any hint from actual subscription figures in hni category (specially it will be tougher in big HNI category), because all allotments in both HNI category will happen based on number of applications, so if more people are applying with larger amounts then actual subscriptions can be high but application wise subscriptions can still be lesser, no idea if in future we will be able to know application wise subscriptions or not in both hni categories, like we come to know for retail category.

@Harsh Stock Expert: As i already said multiple times, in both HNI category, people will get 14 lots minimum, there is no confusion.

Some more info:

Total HNI amount: 209.14 crore (7162500 shares) ->10032 applications
small HNI: 69.715 crore (2387500 shares) -> 3344 applications
Big HNI: 139.43 crore (4775000 shares) -> 6688 applications

if 3344 applicants apply for -> 14 lots (208488 rs) each -> then 1X small HNI category, then everyone from 3344 applicants will be allotted 14 lots each in small HNI.
Similarly if around 10K people will apply for 14 lots each in small HNI then it will be 3X times subscribed and 1/3 applicants will be allotted 14 lots each and so on.

if 6688 applicants apply for -> 68 lots(1012656 rs) each -> then 4.86X big HNI category , then everyone from 6688 applicants will be allotted 14 lots each in big HNI.
But since many will be applying here with more than 68 lots so even with 10X big HNI or 15X etc, we can't say that big HNI is oversubscribed application wise also, means even with 10X in big HNI category, everyone may be allotted 14 lots each. Going forward, in very good ipos and with smaller issue size, more people will apply 68 lots [10 lakh] only instead of putting big amount.

Lokes. I am sure it will be oversubscribed as application wise in 10 lakh category also.

In NII 794000 lots already bidded against around 140300 and it will be increasing tomorrow and go more than 15 lakh lots .

@Hostpacker: ya it can be subscribe upto any times. i just gave some examples on both scenario so that people can understand. No comment on subscriptions guess as of now, that won't be much helpful anyways since we won't be knowing each category subscriptions and application wise subscription.

@MehulStk: For applying more than 68 lots, extra advantage will be there only if big hni category is under subscribed application wise then you will be allotted more than 14 lots else no advantage.
And no separate subscription data available anywhere for small/hni category, as of now, as per my knowledge, only total hni category subscription available. Neither we will be able to know about application wise data, and as i mentioned above: "no idea if in future we will be able to know application wise subscriptions or not in both hni categories"

SEBI circular for mini HNI & high HNI provided allotment examples wherein it showed 2 lakhs worth and 10 lakhs worth minimum lot application by lottery if oversubscribed over one time by number of applicants. But, Campus shoes RHP mentions allotment procedure that minimum 14 lots will be allotted in both mini HNI & high HNI. Despite inconsistency we will go by RHP. Number of lots available being more in high HNI, it is better to apply in this category.

I have a question wrt HNI category application.
1. Under what subscription times, we are guaranteed 67 lots, if we apply 10L worths of shares. Or there is no relationship between number of times subscribed to 67lots allotment?
2. What if i apply for 50L worth shares under HNI category.

First thing first, there is no allotment of 68 lots , its 14 lots. So no chance of any 67 lots allotment since already oversubscribed.
Next, it does not matter in oversubscribed issue if u apply for 10L , 50L or any thing greater than that .. You will be allotted 14 lots only , if lucky.

a correction to your post at 7:15 pm yesterday...
it is 4795000 shares instead 4775000 in big HNI.. and 6715 applicants instead 6688 applicants..

SEBI document clearly states that the allotment will be for Minimum application lot in that particular category. So in Retail allotment is 1 Lot, in Lower HNI allotment is 14 Lots and in Higher HNI allotment is 68 Lots. You can read SEBI document to check, so do not put too multiple applications in Higher HNI, you may end up allotted too many shares.

From the total issue size we first subtract Reservation shares (I.e. employee category shares).
Total issue = 4,79,50,000
Employee = 2,00,000
Net Issue = 4,77,50,00
And now for Big HNI 10% of net issue size
10% of 4,77,50,000 = 47,75,000

@Harsh Stock Expert: Previously you were not agreeing to my post 14 lots allotment in big hni category now you agreed after seeing other post mail.
And now you are saying its 4795000 shares in big hni category, to make you clear, any retail/qib/hni quota is calculated from net offer always not from total offer size and here net offer is after removing 2 lakh shares of employee quota. so whatever i informed about size of small/big hni category is correct.

Thanks @Lokes for giving more clarity on HNI categories especially about 10lk+ as i had confusion whether the allotment process will be similar to earlier single HNI category i.e. proportional basis and no lottery system or first allot minimum lot to each individual and then proportional 👍

Now, both HNI categories will be applied with the same strategy followed in Retail - As many as MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS with 2lk or 10lk 🤣😛

Assuming every applicant in mini HNI and big HNI apply for their minimum 14 & 68 lots respectively,
mini HNI 3344 lots X 2 lakhs = 66.88 Cr
big HNI 6688 lots X 10 lakhs = 668.80 Cr.
Total 66.88 +668.80= 735.68
HNI Quota 200 Cr. Anything above 4~5 times oversubscription means 800 Cr above , one can assume one time subscription by number of applications

yes ideally you are right in your above message, as i also explained same thing in my comment no. 21 here....many people will apply more than 14 lots in small hni and many people will apply more than 68lots in big hni , but still this many will not be "too many" since mostly are wise and know enough rules by now ;) so overall approx 25X subscription in HNI category total is good enough.
Somehow i still feel its tough to cross 6688 applicants in big hni category or even if its crossing , it will be upto 1.5x max application wise in big hni category.

One third of the NII category is reserved for Mini HNI of 2L
Two thirds of the NII is for the rest of NII

Big HNI application has to be for minimum 10 lakhs. So it is 6688 X 10 lakhs is subscription, not multiplied by 2 lakh

As i mentioned above in my comment no. 41 in this thread that "overall approx 25X subscription in HNI category total is good enough" , it has settled below/near to that around 22X.

Noted your response. Applied in big HNI. Contrary to our belief or say assumption, there will be many who applied more than 68 lots hoping they can get extra allocation on proportionate basis after minimum lot allotment of 14 lots. As also opined by you , having 6700 plus investors applying over 10 lakhs is highly unlikely. While most of us here applied at 68 lots just above 10 lakhs assuming that all applications will go in lottery anyway with oversubscription crossing 1 time, reality is otherwise. Big moneyed and funded investors have invested in larger quantiles knowing very well that even after allotment of one 14 lots, about 30 to 40% remaining shares will be allotted to them on proportionate basis. This is my finding! To corroborate this do check the following approximate data that I compiled for about similar size or highly oversubscribed issues,

Clean Science - 1546 Cr issue oversubscribed by 94 times. NII applicants 7638. Applicants above 10 lakhs around 600! (>5<10lakhs -575)
Nyakka - 5351 Cr issue oversubscribed by 82 times. NII applicants 16271. Applicants above 10 lakhs around 160! (applicants >5<10 lakhs- 420)
Latent View- 600 Cr issue oversubscribed by 326.49 times. NII applicants 19425. Applicants above 10 lakhs around 650! (applicants >5<10 lakhs - 0)
Go fashions - 1013 Cr issue oversubscribed by 135.46 times. NII applicants 10682. Applicants above 10 lakhs around 41! ( applicants >5<10lakhs -50)

As you see number of applicants above 10 lakhs were small , but with large quantities mostly with funding. It is not possible they can convert them to large multiple applications by splitting their quantities. Assuming it really can be maneuvered , we can assume 10 times more applicants reducing the size near to 10 lakhs. Let us also assume those applicants who applied between 5 to 10 lakhs will apply with renewed vigor by adding more amount to be able to cross threshold of 10 lakhs. Those figures are in brackets. Even adding them, I am compelled to believe that all of us who applied in big HNI surely will get one lot and those who applied more may get more by proportionate allocation over and above minimum.

Additionally this IPO onwards, need to factor that 3rd party applications not permitted as per recent circular from SEBI. You may have seen my posting elsewhere here. There are bound to be large scale technical rejections this being first IPO post this circular. Out of the above BOAs found something intriguing. Gap between the number of applicants versus the number of applicants allotted was high except in Nyakka. In all other issues number of applicants allotted were much less than the applicants by ratio.

It will be interesting to see BOA next week. If the above is true , it is a win win for those who can afford to apply just above threshold level and also @MRavi, @ nooral types who also get to enjoy more allotment minimum plus proportionate. Any observations are welcome....

Take a example that only 14 lots in shni n 28 lots in bhni is available.
See in shni assuming i applied for 14 lots, one application.
And in bhni I applied for 68 lots, one application.
Secondly lokes has applied for 68 lots one application.
Allotment in both categories if overscribed will be 14 lots only.
Now my doubt is now if u calculate subscription rate then it is 1x or 50x.

If you got these numbers from BoA on chittorgarh site, then this is merely a sample. They don’t put all bids. In Nykaa the demand was tremendous. I applied in Nykaa using funding facility and I can assure you there were more than 160 investors who applied for more than 10L. We were literally fighting with brokers to give us more money in funding.
And even I was thinking is it possible that 6688 people can apply for more than 10L?
But by seeing the subscription figures, I can see this happening.
Reasons might be:
1. Earlier investors didn’t wish to invest in HNI category because of heavy subscription figures. But since the rules are changed they have motivation to apply and get allotted as all HNI will be treated equally if subscription get oversubscribed application wise.
2. Short term loan can be arranged very quickly. Ex - Loan against securities, using business money for few days, taking a loan from friend/relatives, having OD facility, etc
3. Earlier I used to apply in HNI (via funding) from one account only. Now in this IPO itself I have applied for 10 accounts in big HNI. So like me a whole lot of investors have split their capital and applied from multiple accounts.

Though I wish Big HNI remains undersubscribed application wise, it will not be the case.
My estimates are Big HNI 1.75x-2.25x application wise.
I might be completely wrong, but these are my views.

Most People here are expecting higher oversubscription application-wise in SHNI (14-67) than BHNI (68 and more). So your 67 lot application will not be a blunder only if you get allotment and it lists in discount 😀
