​@lokes need guidance on 2 things:

i) if hni doesn't cross retail number, will the hni be treated as retail (get only 1 lot by lottery regardless of app amount ?)

ii) Can basilic give better overall chance than (cps + ratnaveer) for same number of lots, given gmp is 3 times ?

​@common man for first point, no, hni will be hni only and will be allotted as per amount applied and as per subscriptions, only thing is that share transfer will happen and subscription counted will be equal (in fixed price ipo) only.

regarding second point, its mainly depends on subscription and luck , basilic will be subscribed more but ya returns are also more.

I want to apply in HNI category. Should I apply 2 lot or more lots. If we apply for 8-10 lots is single application will we get firm allotment.

To get firm allotment, you need to apply number of lots it is subscribed number of times in HNI category.
If it gets subscribed 100x in HNI, you need to apply 100 lots to get firm allotment.

CPS or Basilic..which one to apply with limited funds?

Hi,
I got to know by reading the comments sections is that the allocation in sme ipos is linked to the no of lot applied vs the total subscription (lots applied 20; total subscription 20 times so chances of allotment of 1 lot) .
Now as a small retail applicant, if I have the funds to apply for a single lot, then does it mean that my chances of getting their ipo is almost nil (applied 1 lot and total subscription 20 times).

Looking at last few months IPOs and subscription levels, I would be happy to accept 5% probability of allotment in a decent IPO.
Problem is, it is even lesser in most good IPOs.

However, I think the question you should ask yourself is what are your other alternatives for that 1 lot worth of funds?

in case of negative events, how much risk can be expected in CPS?

The probability of getting allotment is far lower than negative events..... and the probability of negative event is far lower than positive listing ...
The highest probability then becomes positive listing with lowest probability of allotment ... Virtually no risk as most will not get allotment

​@IPO mining  Yes, at present virtually no risk...but instead of allotment with negative listing, no allotment is better...
P(+ve listing) ∝ 1/P(-ve events)
&
P(-ve events) ∝ P(allotment)

Hence, asked experts opinion.

yes u can....i always apply from my son's demat acc...but u can only sell after transferring that to Guardians demat acc....there might be 1/2 DP who allows to sell directly from minors acc

Based on today's subscription figures, i think NII might cross 250x tomorrow EOD. Many past 8-15cr IPOs that were ~20X on N-1 day actually closed at 400x.

I am trying to apply by idfc first bank, but from yesterday all my application mandate are not accepting approval and going in error. i have tried 3 IPO and all going in error from two different name. These IPO application amount is >100000.
Any one facing same issue?

I applied for CPS Shapers IPO today from IDFCFirst Bank via ASBA. I was able to apply successfully.

You will get zero for all practical purposes. You can check BOA of bondada on cg to know past probability. There will be lottery among all people who applied 2 lots.
