First time applying in HNI, I applied for 60 lots but didnt get any allotment. Isnt it proportionate basis in HNI category? Shouldnt i have got around 42 shares? Someone has mentioned in the comments that below 355 lots its lottery.
When I was reading up on how HNI shares are allotted I didnt anything like that, the 2 or 3 articles I read only said it is allotted on proportionate basis in case of oversubscription.

@AB REDDY Two options 1.if you need money sell listing day 2. No need money , only sell capital worth, keep it remaining share for long term . Choice is yours
PLEASE SUGGEST ME WHERE CAN I OPEN DEMAT ACCOUNT FOR CHILDREN AGE 13 YEARS , AND WHETHER CAN THEY APPLY IN IPO OR CAN THEY SELL IF ANY ALLOTMENT RECEIVED BY THEM ? Please comments :
Yes, both demat and the trading account can be opened in the name of a minor child. The account is operated by a Guardian till the minor becomes major, Guardian has to be the father or in his absence mother. In absence of both, father or mother, the Guardian can be appointed by the court.
The Guardian is legally entitled to open, operate and even close the bank account, demat account and trading account on the minor's name.
Note that two KYC Application Forms must be filled i.e. one for the Guardian and another for the minor (to be signed by Guardian).
Things to know about Minor Demat & Trading Account:
Demat account can be opened in the name of a minor child by the natural guardian (parents) or court-appointed guardians only. The guardian needs to fulfill all requirements for documents and KYC norms to open the account in the name of the minor. PAN Card of the legal Guardian is required to open the demat or trading account. The date of birth certificate is required for a minor child. When minor turns major, the account becomes inoperative. A new separate account has to be opened in this case. Demat holdings can be transferred from minor account to major account. If paper shares are held jointly with a minor, they need to first be transferred to the minor and then to the demat account in the minor's name. A 3-in-1 Account (Bank + Trading + Demat Account) can be opened in the name of a minor. A minor cannot be a joint holder in a demat account. The demat account can be held only in the name of the minor. If shares are held jointly with a minor in paper form, they need to first be transferred to the minor and then to the demat account in the minor's name. Through the Minor's Trading account only delivery of shares can be bought & sold.

ProStocks is best for minor demat account. They provide trading account to buy/sell shares only held in minor's account.
1) First apply for Minor Pan Card. 2) Then open bank account in minor's name with one of the parents as guardian in Kotak bank. 3) Then open demat account in minor's name with Prostocks. 4) Register for ASBA in Kotak Bank (phyiscal form submission) with Minor Demat Account details.
You are all set to apply for IPOs in Minor's name from Kotak Netbanking. You can sell allotted shares from Prostocks trading applications. You get login/password for Minor's Guardian.
Myself opened the minor's bank account with ICICI Bank. They providing online as well as debit card facility. Before that I made the application for minor's PAN card. Then opened demat with prostocks. Bank account is not an issue, most of the banks providing minor accounts. But prostocks is the only familiar company providing minor demat account.
@PatelTrades, the same process which we follow in NSDL site. Only thing, you can't do e-KYC for minors. You have to physically send the documents to their address. Also in the PAN card, even we providing photo - there will be no photo printed - instead there will be mentioned MINOR in that photo area. But remember, you should be responsible to include the profits in your earnings of your IT submission.
@Prabhakar Thank you for the details. Can you tell me what are the documents required for minor pan card? 1. Birth Certificate of minor 2. Address proof(parents/guardian). Others?????
