True meaning of "First Cry" is actually to those ppl who did not appy for IPO and saw listing gains.
Many thought First Cry(till issue close) will be "Cry" post listing which actually happened opposite way.

​@manojIPO  The name "FirstCry" can be interpreted as follows:

- First cry of a newborn baby symbolizing the beginning of a new life.
- First implying priority or preference and cry as commonly associated with babies - crying babies get the milk kinds 👼

First cry turned out to be cry of joy for allotees and as you mentioned cry of disappointment for others 🥴

Overall, FirstCry's name likely aims to evoke a sense of new beginnings, prioritization, and a focus on youngones. Let's hope, the counter remains fruitful in coming sessions too for those who are holding it 🤞

Bought @605 today. Was waiting for this dip.

Out of 4.96 cr tradable shares appx 4.38 cr has changed hands I.e. today's deliverable quantity . Is it possible that all qib retail hni and even employees sold there allotted shares and only 10% tradable shares are in the pocket of allottees so far . IF so what will be effect of this tomorrow.

Its better to judge whether it can make more upmove or not by the delivery % out of the total traded quantity and in which direction the stock was rather than finding who sold and who did not.

Since, the percentage was roughly 67% across exchanges, reasonable guess it moves higher whether its retail, QIB, or someone else still holding

Need help from seniors, i got 6K in profit with this IPO, i took my principal and left profits as shares, now is this the right way to maintain long term portfolio ? or should i sell all stock and buy multiple stocks with this profit ?

​@IPOgain Investor There is no right or wrong way in share markets. One needs to develop conviction to hold any scrip for long. What you did is also suggested by many as you protected your capital and also had gained these so called free-of-cost shares. Tomorrow and later-on even if these shares show some weakness, you will not feel for it much.
Do not borrow conviction, keep doing what you planned and you should be able to achieve your goals.

Great listing today in both the IPOs. More than GMP in a negative market. In these circumstances it is difficult to understand the behavior of the market.
Sharing my experience while sitting for half an hour with a Member, BSE & NSE on Thursday last week. Listing of Ola was on Friday means on next day and closure of FirstCry was there. The GMP of Ola was minus 2.75 and GMP of FirstCry was between 10 to 12. Sentiments were very negative for both the IPOs. On listing of Ola, a day of fortune for investors. Positive market and a flat listing of Ola. Thereafter rest is history. This listing changed the mood of GMP market totally. Many investors sold their applications of FirstCry at about 12 on that day. One big HNI was sitting beside me. Some other views, difficult to share in Forum.
I had sold Power Grid FPO one application at 3000 of Rs. 1 lakhs and I had to pay 15,000 from my pocket as difference. From that day I have never sold any in Grey.
One thing I have observed about Amitji, the great, that he is a lucky charm for investors when he is endorsing any product either on listing or in long term. Some examples: Shakti Pumps, Kalyan Jew, Bikaji and today FirstCry cry. My way of thinking where and what I remember.
Today's listing was a Cry for every one, for those who sold in Grey, sold in pre open and keeping for long term. Cry with sorrow or joy.
