One is reminded of another IPO that is erased from many investors' memories on this board with passage of 5 years. New boarders would not have heard of earlier IPO, but may know the products, again snacks. Prataap Snacks ltd from Indore with IPO price of 900 plus exactly 5 years ago with annual revenues tad lower than Bikaji today is still into losses! Share price tanked after offering listing gains for few days and even today is below IPO price!

Prataap too has brand ambassador Salman Khan instead of Amitabh Bachchan here. Apparently snacks business is overcrowded with too many regional players with biggies exerting advertisement might. Haldiram itself operates in various branches and sub brands and different names form its family.

Euphoria in in this IPO is uncalled for as the asking valuation is very high. Share can at best offer a listing gain due to high oversubscription.

what should be the priority list for listing gains in all 3 mainboard ipos after sharp fall in GMP..?
talking about Bikaji, Fusion and Medanta..

cash is the king, buy in the secondary market, when the chips are down for the overpriced issues

I don't have a good feeling about this ipo
Over priced and hyped up
Might give a listing gain of 10-15 percent
I know it's a good trap for retailers

Even though pricing is on higher side, there may be enough demand for this ipo for 2 reasons:

1. High Promoter Holding (~76%)

2. Institutional (FII's) demand is expected as seen from the excellent Anchor Investor subscription (biggies like Morgan Stanley, Blackrock, Nomura, Goldman Sachs, etc).

Due to low float of shares in public [small equity capital of ~ 25cr] and expected Institutional demand this ipo may surprise with listing gains on higher side.

Amit Ji... loves Bikaji...

so cant we buy at a discount of 100 Rs after 1month of listing

Not applying in either this or global. They may have muted openings with minor listing gains... But keeping the market sentiments and they being priced a little on the higher side. They will soon drop in price and will be available at a discount.

10-20% to koi bhi stock upar neeche hota rahta hai, itne ke liye apply karna, lottery mai milna, phir specific time par bechna. Bekar hai. 30-40% gain ki ummid ho to apply karen. Not applying in any mainline IPO. Will get exposure through mutual funds in future, if it's that good.

Nothing left on the table for the retailers.... Over priced issue

Is there something we retails are missing out on because even today in dcx hni subs was very avg if we compare to EMI both were 500 cr issue and than GMP crashes for this ipo which impacted every current ipo any respected member have some idea ot theory on this please share.

The IPO seems to be overvalued. retail investors may burn their fingers like LICI IPO. There may be listing gain but the price may not sustain. Retail investor to asses their risk taking ability.
