better to apply for max shares in retail category as there is huge demand. no one would be alloted more than 14 shares that too in ratio allotment

I think energy sector players future prospetus are very bright as energy need is going to be more and more so revenue of power related company will not see any decline in near future. this IPO IS GOOD, APPLY .

My personal feeling is from Recent ipos edgeless, kolte patil and Burnpur cement have been very reasonably priced and have left of room for appreciation
whereas stocks like Jyoti Labs even though good subscription and eclerx both were expensive and go below issue price also.
From ipos opened Bgr Energy ,Transformers both looks good

Guys,

Please see the recommendation of Equitymaster.com:

"we advice our subscribers to ‘AVOID’ the issue. They can rather consider other listed players in the sector, which are both large in scale, have strong execution skills and more importantly, reliable managements"

hey guys, some simple but shocking maths for u all.

Investment period roi/annum maturity
1.100000 10yrs 10% 2,59,375
2.100000 10yrs 20% 6,19,174
3.100000 10yrs 30% 13,78,585
4.100000 10yrs 40% 28,92,547
5.100000 10yrs 50% 57,66,504
6.100000 20yrs 10% 6,72,750
7.100000 20yrs 20% 38,33,760
8.100000 20yrs 30% 1,90,04,964
9.100000 20yrs 40% 8,36,68,255
10.100000 20yrs 50% 33,25,25,673

So if u can earn 50% annually on the ipo(which is very much possible)u can have around 58 lakhs in 10 years and 33.25 crores in 20 years with an investment of just 1 lakh.

i can understand the hype behind an issue like Powergrid, Mundra and Reliance power. But this is too much.... BGR is just another company with decent credentials... But hypin it like dis is completely unnecessary....!!

Dear Vinay(159)
Stop fooling People. Its already an expensive IPO.
On what basis you are saying it will touch 1287.

This compnay doesn't have printing machine to print Currency Notes.

Even the company does not have its own manufacturing facilities of the equipments and most of them are outsourced.

This issue of BGR Energy will be subscribed more than 75 times. It may touch 1000 on listing day itself.
157. vinay |   Link |  Bookmark | December 7, 2007 2:36:21 PM
Go ahead and apply in this ipo as per your capacity
since it is going to list around 765 and within a week it will touch a high of 1287
so if alloted sell after a week
1 year target is 2850
