Friends According to Gaurang Shah, Asst VP, Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services only Ramky Infra has attracted huge retail response. ha ha ha
Source: Economic Times In a chat with ET Now, Gaurang Shah, Asst VP, Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services, shares his views on the outlook of recent IPOs.
We are witnessing a hot IPO market. Is there any IPO that is still open and you would recommend retail investors?
In this kind of market, there is always a devil playing around with the fresh paper which comes into the market because you do get tempted, and retail investors are the ones who normally gets sucked into this kind of IPO mad rush that we have already seen. Last week was the record week after a very long time that we saw fresh papers hitting in the form of IPOs. But having said that, in the ones that have gone by and closed, the only one that we liked is Ramky Infra. The kind of business model that they have - water treatment, waste management infrastructure - it is a very unique kind of a business model. They already have about 7800 crores of order book and have tied up with mostly state governments for taking care of the waste, and managing thereafter and the water treatment plants that they have, which is also of high-end technology. So, that's one particular stock that we like. Other IPOs have not received a great response from the retail segment, may be HNIs or QIBs would have possibly subscribed, but one needs to just wait and watch as to whether they actually meet their fate on the day of the listing or whether they crash off.
Thats better I believe, instead of waiting for bedmuth or seatv subscription, I can go for 2 full in Techpro and remaining amount I will go for Ashoka, I can spare around 30000 more from other accounts and if I see good subscription in bedmuth or seatv I will subscribe that 30K for allotment of 1 lot.
Sorry I cannot spare you money, cause this amount was borrowed from my brother-in-laws, out of total amount 6.5L only 2.3L is mine, remaining I have to return back immediately once it got released from ASBA, this is the promise I made to them.
As you are providing some input, I need to decide on final strategy, since in Techpro Qib is subscribed 28 times, I am going for 1 full application, I will have a balance of 1,64,840 after 1 full to Techpro, is it better to go for 2 full in Techpro or 1 full is fine for techpro and remaining for Ashoka, bedmuth & sea tv. Please advice.
DEar Gem, You said you would share a secret about your SKS application with the boarders after you come back from the tour saying that we would laugh at you if you told about that at that time. I remember it is something about the money you got for applying SKS. You still have not shared that I hope.
Dear Sreedhar, With so many issues and so many letters posted in these it is like playing HIDE AND SEEK to spot the messages of our interest. I have asked elsewhere whether we can go in for Ashoka as there is withdrawal in NII category on the second day. Please give your reply based on that fact. Or can we reserve our money for Sea TV and Bedmutha? I am not confident of getting refunds of physical applications within that period. But I can use the amount released from ICICIdirect account, I hope.
techpro will have an edge over ashoka on ..... both are good ipo..... u cant write off ashoka......
i have some information about ashoka by reading drhp about its business model, that is different from irb and itnl and that has not been descussed here in chittogarh, i also found that reason in one of the brokers research report. i will tell u after ipo closes, u will see it in qib response it will be not too much dif from techpro......
i did not share one info about cantabill, that one of my frend told me 5 days back, that is the reason for lower subscrpn inspite being a career point type ipo....., but i wish i could have gone for cantabill.
