I switched to IDFC last month. Its a very prompt for allotment and refund. also decent interest in fund they calculate daily average balance. Those who asking for sweep in account, please check at bank if FD not continue with 180 days, are they got 7% interest? Like - AU, Indusind, Kotak etc

If FD breaks then inerest is very less. Its calculated for number of days FD remained. e.g. if it breaks in 90 days then may be interest will be calculated at 3.5%-4%. Worst thing if it breaks on 179 days then also interest is around 4.25%.
Today I heard from Indusind bank person that they have a type of account (forgot the name) which gives you 6.75% interest if min balance manitained per quarter is above 5 lakhs. Its not upto 6.75%, its flat 6.75%.
Having said that, IDFC certianly is a very good bank for ASBA. I mean, all these new banks (unlike legacy HDFC, ICICI, etc) are coming up with new features with lot of focus on customers.

@Esparando that would be something like sweep in account. bank person may be giving wrong info to sell their product.
I want to switch to IDFC from HDFC because of high interest... however there is no branch nearby ...the closest being 7-8 kms away..please advice..if everything could be done online or branch visit will be necessary for minor changes. .
For me idfc giving 7.25% interest above 5 lakhs every. Which is i believe very decent than any sweep in ipo. I calculated and im get 6.6% overall interest on my al funds and and i can use without any restriction and limitations
