@RAT The Annual Information Statement (AIS) is a detailed record comprising financial transaction information essential for filing Income Tax Returns (ITR). Nevertheless, inaccuracies in the AIS can result in complexities and potential examination by tax authorities.
Errors if found in AIS must be reported in the portal in form of "feedback". Given below are steps :
1.Log in to the Income Tax e-filing portal at incometax.gov.in.
2.Go to the 'services' tab.
3. the ement (AIS).
4. Click on 'AIS'.
AIS will be displayed in two parts: Part A and Part B.
5. Carefully review the information in both parts. Select the specific information that is incorrect.
6. Choose the option to submit your feedback.
7. A drop-down menu will appear with seven options. Select the one that applies to your situation.
8. Click on 'Submit' to send your feedback for correction.
Please note providing 'feedback' will not fix the AIS instantly, but you can relax that inputs have been brought to the notice of authorities.
Tax filing may be done as per reports from your DP and your own calculations.
Hope it helps 🙏
