So, All those who were saying that people will get only 1 lot irrespective of lots applied because IPO is oversubscribed 1.3 times were all wrong.
You are just speculating that it will be 1 lot per application will be allotted in RII category because IPO is subscribed 1.3 times. Simply doesn't make any sense.
People are saying that they got 5/5 3/3. I don't know about them as well.
But I applied for 520 (13 lots) and I got 98 Allotted.
Mu brother applied 280 (7 lots) and I got 68 allotted.
Now can somebody explain why shares are not allotted proportionately.
Please do not use logic, only who know how it is reply back.
As far as the retail individual investors (RIIs) are concerned, the process of allocation of shares is different. The maximum amount which retail investors can apply per IPO is Rs. 2 lakh. In order to determine the total demand for shares in the retail investor category, all the applications are grouped together and the total number of applications are calculated. If the number of applications are more than the number of shares offered for retail investors, the maximum RIIs who are eligible for the allotment of the minium bid lot are determined.
The total number of equity shares available for allotment to RIIs is divided by the minimum bid lot. This gives the maximum number of RIIs who can be allotted the shares.
For example - If shares worth Rs. 20 lakh need to be allotted to the retail segment and the minimum lot size is Rs. 10,000, only a maximum of 200 applicants will be allotted the shares with the minimum lot of Rs. 10,000.
If the number of RIIs exceed the maximum RII allottees, the RIIs (in that category) who will be eligible for the minimum bid lot will be determined on the basis of draw of lots. This is a computerised process and hence there is no room for partiality.
Hai, Every eligibile applicant must be given one lot (40shares) irrespective of the number shares he/she has applied. The left over shares will be allotted additionally to the applicants of 2 lots and more. That is why they got more than 40 shares.
They have not applied from the same demat. Probably applied in the name of relatives - 5 single lot applications from different accounts. You have applied from the same demat.
yes this is based on first allocation to all retail guys with min one lot and then the excess shares after exhausting all the fair retail application, the balance shares are allocated to those demanding additional shares.
I applied for 40 - got 40 aplied for 2 * 80 - got 45 (5 extra shares) applied 2 * 160 - got 54 (14 extra)
so this seems after catering for all application on one time basis, the over suscription is aprox 10 times for the balance shares and hence, all got approx 4/5 share for additional lot of 40 each.
There was a fall in market when galaxy surfactant listed..but it gave decent prft on listing..ipos which have good demand will surely give returns irrespective of market fall..so be patient..we will get atlst 1k profit..let's hope for this..
Most probably 1 lot each wiil be alloted from each account as retail subscription is 1.04x on basis of applications. May get more than 1 lot will depend on no. of rejections
