ASBA needa to be applied through your bank.

Most cases you can go to your netbanking and choose option for investments/ ipo or ASBA. You can use your zerodha cdsl demat account to register and/or apply. It can be found in kite by going to your profile.

@NCIndia You need to access Kotak bank portal for applying in IPO through ASBA.
DP name is ZERODHA
Demat id is your 16 digit account number, you can get this from profile in Zerodha kite or web portal.

@Chhote Lal I've been putting "Zerodha Broking LTD" in dp name in hdfc so far, any problem? Should I write "Zerodha" instead? But in Zerodha's consule it's written "Zerodha Broking Limited" unfortunately HDFC doesn't give space to write the full word.

@Chhote Lal Do entering dp name matter in ipo application? I never got allotment in last three from PNB ASBA. I don't know why? In pnb asba we can't give space in dp name. Like sunlight broking lpp will be written as "sunlightbrokinglpp" without any space. Pl guide.

@Babal It doesn't really matter. There are only two depositories NSDL and CDSL and demat number will be linked to one of these. Depository Participant (DP) name like Zerodha, Groww, SunlightBroking etc is just for identification. Bank ASBA if done through ICICI Bank or Axis Banks does not ask for this field. In few other banks, it is mandatory field.

By rules it should be rejected.
As per SEBI rules regarding IPO application, applying demat and concerned bank account should have same PAN.
But many times allotment is seen, violation happens.
