It was a share then existing. The company got merged and think finally tatas took it over.

Holding Reliance Industries 500 Quantity and Avanti Feeds 1500 Quantity since IPO.

Caplin lab since 1995 (IPO allotment). Face value Rs. 10 @ Rs 10 per share. Investment of Rs. 1000 for 100 shares. Now after split to face value of Rs. 2, holding 500 shares. Present price is more than Rs. 1400 per share.

I want to share my first IPO allotment of 1982 of Glaxo,10 fv share at 5 premium. I got 25 shares, total cost only 375. There after one right issue, got 5 shares and thereafter 1:1 bonus share. Total 60 shares. Sold all at Harshad Mehta time @ 635.
Only one share of Solar Industries IPO allotment of 2006 holding issued at 10 fv for 190. Split in 5 shares. So, costing 38 per share. Closing of Friday was 6,583.45 on BSE. This is the best holding with many more. Many bad incidents are also there as I am a long term investor.

My first share was HDFC in 1984 at a discount! Somebody suggested that HDFC will fast track housing loan applications of shareholders and at a concessional interest rate too which prompted me to walk in to a broker office in KG Road in Bangalore on a Saturday. When I mentioned HDFC word, he called out for his staff to get it. I bought 5 share of FV Rs 100 at a price of Rs 85 all inclusive (transfer fee, brokerage et al) !!!! That’s all the money I had then.
No looking back since then.

Have another story on Glaxo Pharma, that’s for another day 😃
