Yes, why not. UPI limit is Rs 5L so one can definitely apply in sHNI segment upto Rs 5L using UPI. Some banks like SBI are reported not supporting this limit, as yet.

When i am trying to apply in upstox using UPI it gives me error saying amount is more than 2lac, anyone applied SHNI using UPI in upstox. I know this facility is available I n Groww but not sure about Upstox and Zerodha

No, you cannot for more than 2 lakhs from upstox.
Better to apply using net banking tomorrow.

For any ways you need to access your internet banking/mobile banking to accept mandate well anand rathi Or ipo premium does not need any account to register they can be used to apply from your demat no and your upi id

​@CA Saurabh Bansal Biggest drawback of upstox is it doesn't allow user to apply in hni category. Requested them many times to improve but they not responded positively.

​@CA Saurabh Bansal I generally use ASBA for applying, however checked Upstox and Zerodha for applying sHNI application (14 lots/over Rs 2L), while Upstox does not support application for over Rs 2L (UPI mode), It was successfully accepted in Zerodha. It is new learning today that even though IPO application using UPI mode has limit of Rs 5L, some brokers (like Upstox) and some banks (like SBI) do not permit the same.

​@Sandeep Kumar sethi First, I am no expert. But there are news floating in markets like possible concessions on AGR dues and kicking off of 5G services that some firms have raised the targets. But this Monday will also be first day when window opens for Anchor Investors (after 30 day to sell off upto 50% shares) which may put pressure on VI. If you have held the shares so far, and have capacity to hold further, you may expect better rewards. Evaluate on your own and take call accordingly whether to hold, sell or perhaps accumulate some more.

​@Chhote Lal ji, Anchors' 30-day lock-in ended on the 23rd. Wouldn't that make 24th their 1st day to offload shares if they wanted to?

​@Chhote Lal Anchor lock-in period end date was 23rd May as per CG. Can you please recheck this.

​@ROAR  @MW As per info on VI page of CG.com, 30 day expiry date of anchor lock in period is mentioned as 23rd May, 2024. However, please note that 30 days is counted from date of allotment of shares, and in VI FPO, shares were allotted on 25th April hence applicable trading date after 30 days should be 25th May. Markets being closed on Saturdays and Sundays, first day when Anchor investors can sell their 50% shares becomes Monday, 27th May.
Let's keep a keen watch if the share gets any selling pressure or not !

According to CNBC AWAJ 50% anchor portion was saleable from 24th May. Volume was also more than previous day. About 305 crore shares traded on 24th May. About 37% delivered.

Amidst all this the only non avoidable part is the blame game played by the authorities and no proper responsibility is taken for the events.

There is major problem of rules and regulations in the country.
How many people knows how to use extinguisher, how to do CPR, what to do in case of drowning, i would say 90% of people wouldnt know this. These small things also could save few lives.
Flaunting of regulations be it fire, or weak structure, etc all these have become very common.
And the sitting politician laughing is just terrible.

My heart goes to the relatives of those died and severely injured. Let GOD give them the strenth to overcome this heartbreaking, painful and tragic event and it's aftermath...🙏🙏

These all incidents can be called.. "Man made disaster..!!

Most of these are murders committed by our faulty system & corrupted Government Administration who cant enforce proper safety guidelines/procedures.

In order to dematerialise physical securities one has to fill in a DRF (Demat Request Form) which is available with the DP and submit the same along with physical certificates that are to be dematerialised. Separate DRF has to be filled for each ISIN.

I can search that linkintime is registrar of ipca labs. Pls email them, they will guide you. And also email the company's investor relations mail, you will find it on website. Keep them in loop

​@Ayank Yes you are right, it is valid only if you submit before the due date. I actually preffered to offset the loss against profits in same assessment year ie., 23-34 which worked better.

​@Ayank You need not worry about your tax slab increasing. Even if your booked profit is Rs.10lacs through shares, your tax liability is only 15% short time gains. Suppose your income through other sources is Rs.5 lacs and your gain in shares is 10 lacs. Total Rs.15 lacs. Had your previous year loss of 6 lacs was set off your tax liability would have been 60,000/-. Now you missed that, your tax liability would be Rs.1,50,000/- (@15% short term capital gain if the gain occurred within 12 months of purchase and sale). If the shares were sold after 12months of purchase, the profits are treated as long term capital gains and tax @10% is applicable. I have been filing my Returns accordingly and are processed and accepted.

​@Ayank  Sorry, I confused your profit and loss between 6 lacs and 5 lacs.

U have said that that your tax slab has changed because of 6 lakh profit which I suppose is STCG. Because of 6 lakh STCG u may not be getting 87a rebate on your income like salary or business income etc. Except that I don't think tax slab should change. Correct me if I am wrong. I am neither CA nor a tax expert

To the best of my understanding what he meant is that he thought he needn't pay any tax this year due to carryforward of losses to offset his profit this year but it can't be as he filed the revised ITR . Since his profit is 6 lacs now accordingly he will have to pay taxes plus interest also which is true . Also as total income goes up the additional income also get added onto it and slab goes higher

​@Rakcyt Sir suppose if a person has salary income 10 lakh and no other income or gain then let us say his income tax liability works out to be Rs n. If another person has same salary and has STCG of 6 lakh then his tax liability would be Rs n plus about 15.6 percent of 6 lakh. There will be no change in value of n because tax slab won't change. These are my views. There is one percent chance that I may be wrong

My other income in under 5 lacs and 6 lac STCG so I was thinking I will not pay any tax this year because all 6 lacs stcg will be offset with previous year losses and upto 5 lacs there is no tax. but now I have to pay the tax on full stcg plus interest. Yes Tax slab will not increase. I am sorry on this point.
Dear members is it possible I can show my stcg income as business income? since I dont have any other income except interest and dividend.

​@Ayank  As far as my understanding with practical experience goes, you can definitely show FnO turnover as business income or loss, with adjustment of expenses and will have to file ITR3 only.

For STCG I doubt if you can show as business income if you have salary income .
Let others comment on this part for such a case with no salary .

As @Rakcyt said, its safe to assume that one can't show it as business income when earning salary as well. That goes against with the consensus built that individual should focus on one aspect. Similar to why govt employees refrain from day to day trading.

For non salary purpose, the underlying intention of why the stock is kept is to be considered. If the trading or STCG is frequent with high volume, effective tax rate is less than 15% with STT factored in. Keeping also in mind that similar practice needs to be done YoY for better consistency

When there is salary, or other sources, better to show as STCG with view that possibly profits are increasing in coming years

Either option chosen should be backed by documentary evidence as per availability @Ayank
