Holding shni IPO allotment. False disicion. SHP is very good. But recent working is not so good. Now it is jail of some months,seems.

Since Bigshare is registrar here ... we can expect early allotment since for most SME 's they release allotment around 7-8pm T+1... hope they continues the same reputation for main board ipos too ...

Basis of allotment is scheduled to be released today. Let's see at what time allotment decisions are made public. It hardly makes any difference whether it comes early in the evening or late in the night.

Someone can also do a study, the return over next 1 year of these ipos.
Im pretty sure that, the most 50%+ gains ipos will have returns subdued over next 1 year.

How to know while applying for IPO how many applications are there for each lot..

​@mohsri Application wise subscription data is not available officially. Some portals provide it on approximate basis and few members also upload the same here in this forum.
​@Rajiv RR I don't think member asked for shares/application quota available, query was to know status of application wise subscription status while applying.

@Everyone Most of you might already know this but this for the people who has questions on how people are able to find the number of applications, I guess it is simple Mathematics and no concrete data as such. This is how it is calculated:
For Retail & SHNI: (Shares bid for)/(Shares Offered) = Number of applications
For e.g. at 5:17 PM, for SHNI Awfis: Shares bid for=8,69,14,347 and Shares Offered=7,79,275 and hence number for applications=111.53

For BHNI: ((Shares bid for)/(Shares Offered))/5

The result is very close to number of applications shown on different other websites. I feel, they randomly reduce some numbers from this total, just to showcase that they have more details but it is always very close to this data.
Disclaimer: I might be wrong but I have tried tracking it for previous IPOs and found it working for most of the times.

​@UjwalG Agreed, application wise subscription data is only approximates based and not official or authentic. Once, the issue is heavily oversubscribed, all segments goes for lottery and application wise data is of little or no use in deciding which segment to go for while applying...

​@Chhote Lal It was useful incase of Godigit. In deciding BHNI vs SHNI.

Also in case of VI, where people applied way more than BHNI lots in single application to get some extra share.

In my case branch person visited on Friday for verification but the account is still blocked.
Operations head is saying it will get unblocked EOD (same thing since Monday)

Regarding Flexi FD, their website clearly says that it cannot be used for IPOs.
Show that to your RM who is trying to miss-sell the product.

Worst IPO allocation. Anchor Investor got almost half (44.83%) and retail got 9.96% only.

​@IPOs User Not fair to label as worst allocation. Generally, retail quota is assigned as 35%, however as per SEBI rules implemented since year 2012, if there is loss reported in any of previous 3 years, this quota for retail gets limited to just 10%. Even though SEBI rule is aimed at protecting small retailers, it deprives them from getting desired chunk of shares.

Applied 1st time retail 4 lot but no hope as never received any allotment from bigshare,one good thing from them they give allotment link well in time unlike linkintime.
