May I know what exactly is a bulk deal ?

Example, in today's case where Goldman Sachs bought 10 lakh odd shares at 438/-, does it mean that they placed one bulk order (undisclosed quantity) at this price or they bought at multiple price points and the avg has come to 438/- ? And since it all belongs to one demat, it is shown as bulk order ?

I believe the first option is what a bulk order is, but wanted to be 100% sure about bulk order. Any Inputs pls ?

A bulk deal in the stock market is one in which the total quantities of shared purchased or sold exceeds over 0.5 per cent of the equity shares of a company listed on the exchange. A market-driven deal, it occurs only when brokers provide a trading window during the regular trading hours. Additionally, broker must inform the exchange within an hour of the trading day’s closing, especially if the deals are done via a single transaction.

Going by above, it is primarily a single transaction carried out by Goldman Sach.

Bulk deal is different from Block deal (which is much bigger in size compared to bulk deal). It is generally perceived that bulk deals may not impact the price and direction of share whereas block deals may, in most cases.

​@minaxi patel Funds blocked in IPO application through UPI mode gets released once the allotment is out. In few cases, there could be delay. But every mandate has expiry date, by which funds will have to be released. Anxiety is understood, keep patience.

​@minaxi patel Please contact your bank and email your bank branch and cc that to registrar also, they will help you in this matter.
Also, as said by Chhote lal bhau, mandate has an expiry date which you can see it in your UPI app, on that date your funds will be unblocked automatically..

Exicom move was superb today. Momentum is expected to continue. Should wait as it may cross new high beyond 322 in short term. But, one should do own analysis and take call depending upon targets or trailing stoploss. Keep a keen watch if holding.

Sold 80% at pre-open. Trailing balance with IPO price as sl or first 15-30 mins as sl, but won't carry below IPO price.

Sold another 10% near 450. Holding last 10% with 420 as sl.

Sl triggered for last 10%. Avg sell price @433.18. Out of this scrip now. Will see in future if there's any technical breakout.

Not a fan - don't know why it ran so much, and results were just ok. 11 cr revenue company growing 10% YoY at 500 cr MCap does not add up. However high the margin %, without growth, there's a ceiling. Baaki you have to decide your loss tolerance, or your investment timeframe. @DSGROW
