The circuit filter limits in the pre-opening session are indicative limits ... (75% upper circuit & 25% lower circuit) it not a hard-line ... it will get very dynamically revised mid-session on Tuesday if the depth of buyers / sellers warrants such a revision ... however once the price discovery process is crystallised @9:45am ... thereafter in the regular trading session which starts @10:00 will have circuit filter limit of 20% both up & down... that is a hard-line limit. Any one can explain it in very simple language? I explain what i understand , dmart may no list above 525 in pre session (9:45 am trade) , then after its buyer limit is 20% of pre session trade , it Is true or false ? Please experts comments on it

This means d mart can be list @any price....though not practically possible but theoretically it can list in 4 figure....but once whatever price will be settled @9:45 20% circuit will be applicable....(both way-Upper circuit & lower circuit)
As per BSE site.....(For Special Pre-open session mainly for new listing securities)
15. Q. What are the Price bands applicable in Pre Opening Session? A. No Price bands are applicable in the special Pre-open session.
16. Q. What are the Price bands applicable for IPO and Re-listed Securities in continuous session? A. * IPO Issue size GREATER than Rs.250 cr. : Equilibrium Price discovered - 20% of Equilibrium Price Equilibrium Price NOT discovered - 20% of Issue Price

In simple terms, as per my understanding... from 9am to 9.45 am on listing day, it''s like a ship on water. If water level rises, ship will also rise as per increase of water level and vice versa for decrease in water level. Suppose at 9.15am matching price is 500, then u cannot place sell order above 875 (75% of 500) & buy order below 375(25% of 500). However if at 9.30am matching price is 525 then circuits for buy & sell orders will also change accordingly. This is dynamic and will keep changing till 9.45am. After price is discovered, in regular session at 10am, 20% circuit filter on both sides up & down will apply.
