I was checking basis of allotment of BSE. In the category of (36 to 234) allotment ratio was 97:366 and one lot (18 shares) were alloted.
My que is then what is the benefit of applying higher lot if ratio is same?
Please clarify may be I misunderstood this

no. apply for lot. probability is the same

Basis of allotment differs frm compny to compny depends on different factors, sometime makes a marginal difference in small n big lot, so hopefully slightly advantage in bigger one, just to try luck.

can we apply for ipo using same bank through different pan num by providing same demat account?

I do not know if more than one demat could be linked to same bank account. If its offline though, any number of demat applications (one of each pan) could use same bank account details (one person should be able to pay for any number of applications (why restrict?).

The main question is does the demat account can be used to apply ipo through different pan num other than pan which is associated with demat account?
