@ Eagleye / Septa / Other Experts

There are couple of new factors that may affect this IPO. Would like to know your views on the below:

1) The RBI capping FII investment to 49% seems to be deterrent. How will it affect AU? I guess larger private banks have higher FII Caps.

2) There is some discussion about the accounts being cooked for IPO. Income from sale of other companies is taken as profit which will obviously not sustain in the future. But I don''t have much knowledge of accounts and hence wish to know more about its effects to AU IPO only.

I am interested only in listing gains and want to know the effects of the above to the IPO only. Please guide.

Dear Investors,
It is a good company. But very aggressively priced one.
There are good companies like Equitas, Ujjivan available at cheaper valuation.
But, this is a good stock to hold for long term as well as for listing gains.
All the best. This will also oversubscribed by over 1** times.

Regards
Ranga

Septa Sir,
Can I apply Au Financiers only for listing gain?

The Gmp fell sharply from 103 to 81. This is because the institutions are not allowed to invest anymore as the 49% limit has been reached. Hni oversubscription interest is low and therefore the fund cost will be around Rs. 56/~. The markets are falling which will add pressure on the prices. The premium should come down to 65 ~ 70 levels in this week.

*AU SMALL FINANCE BANK IPO: SUBSCRIBE*

*Key highlight*
•      Spearheaded by Mr Sanjay Agarwal, AU Financiers (India) Ltd had commenced operations in 1996 in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was registered as an NBFC with the RBI in 2000.

•      The company plans to launch its approximately Rs 19 bn initial public offering (IPO) on 28 June 2017. A price band of Rs355-358 per share has been set for the small finance bank’s initial share sale which will close on 30th June.

•      The company has established itself as a preferred lender catering to the vehicle, SME and MSME finance segments which are characterized by small ticket sizes, limited credit history, and abandoned by the formal banking channels. As at the end of FY17, the company’s AUMs stood at Rs 107 bn with 50% of the AUM mix being contributed by vehicle finance business and the rest MSME/SME.

•      Despite serving the lower income group of rural and semi-urban markets, the asset quality has been maintained over the years as 99% of the lending stands secured resulting into supreme asset quality. The gross NPAs have stood at around 1.6% over FY13-FY17.

•      With 21 years of operational history, AU SFB has come a long way from being a retail lending partner to HDFC bank, a diversified NBFC and today a small finance bank.

•      *View:* Deeper presence in the underserved markets, strong business growth potential, secured lending business and low cost SFB business model positions the AU SFB ahead of microfinanciers and others. While the SFB transformation is expected to be smoother, the long-term prospects stand strong and with post dilution multiple at 3.1x providing meaningful upside potential to the investors ahead.

FII are restricted by RBI to invest in IPO of AU SMALL FINANCE BANK as well as from open market as they have reached 49% trigger limit under PIS (portfolio investment scheme). Purchases of equity shares of this company would be allowed only after obtaining prior approval of the Reserve Bank of India
