Canara bank ipo asba through net banking is so easy. Amount is blocked instantly and application number also generated on the spot. I applied in 10 seconds..
I also have been using canara bank securities.. amount holding immediately after putting bids and if shares not allotted, holds are releasing on the same day of allotment date. But only demerit is we can''t put multiple applications using single account.
I am at present using IDBI and SBI banks for online applications of IPOs. While IDBI is very use to use, it has severe limitation of not allowing more than 1 IPO application even when the Dmat accounts are with the bank and all the Dmat holders are linked to one Savings bank account. Innumerable requests have not changed their policy. I use SBI for applying 3 applications but there is one difficulty i m facing ie. One time password for closing each transaction. I am out of country for a few months every year and during this period i am unable to apply for IPOs through SBI as my mobile is left in India. Is there any bank which allows making IPO applications online ( without DMAT accounts with them ) without OTP or any other solutions. Thanks in advance.
To Saptus, I''m with Dena Bank and applying through ASBA even from abroad regularly and it''s easy to apply.. processing in short time, block amount immediately and giving application no. immediately then after.. and my Demat account are with another DP... Try by opening amount with Dena Bank.. good service and good response....
For Mukesh Ladia; Thanks very much for your prompt reply with a solution for my problem. At the moment i am out of country and will contact Dena Bank on my return.
@ AKH. It is not correct that all PSUs allow 5 applications from one SB account. I and my family members have Dmat accounts in IDBI bank attached to one SB account. But they allow only one application from the account. But we do not need OTP to close the transaction when we do not have mobile with us when out of country. @Dhir; When you say you are applying from Abroad, i am presuming that they do not have a system like SBI where you have to enter OTP for closing the transaction. A word of confirmation from you will be helpful to me. Many participants of the forum seems to have very good experience with Canara Bank.Does this bank allows 5 applications without OTP. For people like us who want to apply for IPOs when we are out of India without OTP will be very useful. Users of online site of Canara bank may pl. confirm. Thanks to all of you for posting lot of very useful information.
Only the account holder can apply for his personal demat account.. but there is no need to enter otp or transaction passwrd for ipo application. Rest all transactions require otp and tran passwrd so its hassle free

bidding of 1 application can be placed in only 1 exchange.... if u get AU, and plan to sell, you would sell only 1 time(on one exchange) and not sell multiple times on multiple exchanges.... :-)
