General Query : Can you apply in IPO using online Asba using kotak minor account ? I am receiving conflicting answers on this. Some are saying you can apply online and some are saying you have to apply using customer care or through branch. @IPO NOOBIE I am regularly applying online from my minor kotak account and got allotments too. You have to register your minor pan and dmat in minor account once by providing physical form to the branch after that your can access minor account asba forms from your login only where you can select minor dmat and bank details and can apply fron there itself.

Thank you very much @G.S. and @ManishAgarw I was looking for a bank account for my my minor son (1.5yrs old) and As I already had account with Kotak and had positive experience with them I was thinking of opening minor account also with them. The Branch people didnt know much about the asba process. So thank you again for clarifying everything.

@Saney I understand, but, sometimes we all do that. The flavour of some things is best described in a local language or mother tongue.

I am not against or for such things, i am neutral.

So the way out is just copy that text and use online translator to get the meaning of that..

While trying to approve asba mandate via paytm upi, I am getting hdfc and paytm bank not supported for IPO. The error is because HDFC UPI is down and not because of RBI paytm fiasco. Hopefully it would work in an hour

@Shuaibpasha Chalo, yeh toh bahut achha huwa. Bura mat maniye, lekin Aisa bhi kya ki aapko sabhi IPOs mein cancel karna padta hai ? Ek post mein dekha aap ke aur bhi IPOs mein cancellation pe Paisa same day mil gaya. IPO apply karne ke liye teen din ka waqt milta hai, aap soch samajh ke itminaan se apply Kara kijiye.

Applied HNI application from motilal oswal. While clearing UPI mandate, there was short of fund and mandate rejected .
Motilal Oswal not allowing for reapply and showing mandate rejected.

Now what to do? Can I get mandate again ? Can I apply through sbi asba?

Generally, cut off date is filing of RHP, but, a suggestion, do not wait for that just buy 1 share of their parent companies..

What is the worst that can happen? You might loose 100 or 200 rupees. Think positive if you get a shareholder quota then you have a chance to gain many times more money!! 😊😊

@Vimal Garodia Well said. Actually, procuring a share each may not result in any financial loss. One can always sell these shares later. Those who bought Tata Motors for applying in SH quota of Tata Tech IPO and held onto those shares are seeing the price appreciation from around 600 to 900 plus now.

By the way, are you considering to apply in this ASPH IPO? I have yet to make up my mind.

@Unlucky investor Yes, provided they have that quota.
Remember you have to have that share in your Demat Ac one day before they file RHP.

So if they file RHP tomorrow (very very unlikely) you will not be eligible, because that share will be in your Demat Ac day after tomorrow!!
