@ManikJ, from where do you get the data about how much buyback has been subscribed till now...I don''t think in case of tender buyback, that data is available
Btw sebi must banned linkintime permanently for unfair allotment practice ..

In respect to Buyback of shares, many members has questions on tax liability... below information will help to understand in detail.... ----------------------------------------- The provisions of Income Tax with regard to buyback of shares are covered under Sec 115 QA of the Finance Act, 2013 which applied to only unlisted companies which warranted a tax of 20% on the distributed income.
The rationale for the introduction of the provision was that unlisted companies resorted to buyback of shares in order to avoid dividend distribution tax. As the buyback was charged as capital gains in the hands of the shareholder and dividend distribution tax was charged to the company. Therefore the amendment was introduced as an anti-tax avoidance measure.
The Union Budget 2019 announced the said section to be applicable to the listed companies as well. The amendment is effective for all buybacks post July 5, 2019, vide Finance Act (No.2) 2019.
The following illustration will bring clarity to the changes affected by the amendment.
A listed company Delta Ltd repurchased 1,000 shares in May 2019 (prior to amendment) at the current market price of Rs. 500. The issue price for the same is Rs 50.
? No tax liability for Delta Ltd.
? Individual shareholders must pay capital gains tax (Long term or short term) depending on the holding period of shares on the difference amount (Market price ? Issue Price) that is Rs. 500 ? Rs. 50 = Rs. 450.
Delta Ltd repurchases 500 shares in August 2019 (post amendment), with a market price of Rs. 650 with an issue price of Rs. 50.
? The company is now liable for a buyback tax of 20% on the distributed income that is Rs. 600, the difference between market price and issue price (650-50).
? The individual shareholders are no longer liable to pay taxes.
@Admin pls either give page where people talk about buy back only but not here Whole page is flooded with buy back info but actually it is page for IPO
@Aniket Sir, Septa Sir and other experts on forum, Could you please help to understand, how to place order for share on listing day ? precisely trying to understand, how one can buy at pre-opening price ? @ what time one should place order
Only LIMIT order placed not market order work in pre open Also you need to place order before 9:44:00 After 9:44:00 to 9:45:00 price will be discovered any time. So don't think you can place order at 9:45
Nandkishor ji,& IPO King ji, Generally I am using zerodha Kite for placing the order. So will it be AMO in case I wish to place order in Pre-opening or what will be order type... as you are saying MKT (Market Order) will not work..hence checking
@chivitra, market orders you can''t place in pre open market of ipo. But Will have to place limit orders.
If you are desperate to sell Antony shares at opening price, you place your sell order at 20 rs above the lower circuit(or you may place order at lower circuit too) . There is 99% chance that your sell order will be executed in ipo opening price. Also try to place order before 9.43am and keep some buffer time.
But I believe Antony waste is a very good stock. You may get 20-40% listing gain based on market sentiments but in long run, this stock will definitely perform well. If possible, keep some shares in your portfolio as per your appetite if you get allotment.
Thank you for Feedback & your help Nandkishor ji. Much appreciated.
Since this is first company listed from that segment, interesting to see how it performs. All the Best & Fingers crossed for allotment. Again I am not in favour of selling on listing (provided allotment ho jata hai to). Definitely keep the same for Long Run as per your advise. As I did not get any allotment in Bector, was checking how to buy at pre-opening and selling on the same day of listing(Just to utilize the Capital unused in Bector )
