Hello Experts,

I applied for single lot in retail category.
Can you please advise on how allotment works in case of over subscription (in case of SME)

As far as I know (mainly for mainframe IPO) all retail applications are considered equally irrespective of lot size and allotment is on lottery system.

I am confused as I read in one of the comment that, allotment is done on the basis of lot size group?

Please help to understand.

In SME IPO ,any application above 1 lot is non retail i.e. retail category is only with 1 lot. Allotment is based on lottery in retail category 🙂

For non-retail, allotment is also lottery but on proportionate bases, more the lots you apply better are the chances, not exactly but its similar to Share holder Allotment that we saw in Tatatech. 🙏

It is as good as landslide victory with 3-1 now in series.......otherwise also with vote share increasing by leaps and bounds it augurs well for market .....shld we aim for just 20500 by mid Dec and 21000 by Feb/ March just around interim budget or post election ....Dow USD Index US Bond yield Crude etc all moving favourably....a platter with fruits of all kinds on table........those holding the chunk will get surprise moves in coming days ......what else you want with FII net buyers ... Added salt on platter 😄😄👍👍

50-60 SME u mean Ek saal se try kar rahe ho q ki 2023 me 50- 60 SME Definity aaye hai so apni Hope banaye rakho kya pata is baar aapka number ho..

BTW i have 5 account and i trying my luck since 2021 and alloted only 5 SME
so keep applying

@Goel ji, Getting an allotment in the retail category is quite improbable and challenging. As per current indications, the current subject-to-sauda stands around 30k-40k. However, if you do secure an allotment, I'd suggest refraining from selling it in the grey market. You might experience a significant profit upon listing. Ultimately, the decision rests with you. Total subscription in HNI / LOTS APPLIED.
more lots more chances of allotment. But some times even more lots application is rejected. If someone applied 51 lots and that is the only application in that category then it will not be considered for allotment.

It's not mandatory for IPO that opened before 1 Dec, but still I think T+3 will be followed in Deepak and Amic 🙏

Have applied 30 lots each from 3 accounts. I've never been lucky enough to get an SME allotment for a heavily oversubscribed IPO (200x+). Hopefully the luck will change

Earlier was thinking 32x5 but went against it after seeing oversubscription.

@GrayIsTheNewBlack Was checking Kalyani BOA which had similar oversubscription (and this is a general trend), the round numbers of lots (10,15,20,25,30 lots etc) will have more applications than nearby. So 30 lots will have more than 28, 29, 31, 32 lots. Best bet is to go with round figures, unless I'm missing something.

@rohiitian , yes it is best to go with round numbers unless you are putting large number of applications.
There is a catch though with odd numbered application you can improve your allotment chances but with this huge level of subscription you would need atleast 10+ application of your own to guarantee allotment.

Out of 10, 2 were 3rd party UPI apps, just tried them, but was not sure if they were acceptable or not
but the allotment received is a 1st party self application/account
