Experts, incase of SmE ipo..can we sale the full qty on listing day.

Might sound silly question, but new to this..that's why wanted to know

In sme u can sell n buy only fully alloted lot.
Suppose any sme have 2000 shares of 1 lot, u have buy n sell full lot ie 2000.

@Rjravi Yes, you can sell full quantity on listing day in SME, provided you got an allotment. You have to sell in lots and not few shares..

There will be less liquidity few weeks later in that stock..

Hi
I have around 80Lakhs and 2 account with 2 different PAN.
What is the best strategy to invest in SME/mainline IPO?
Should I invest in just one of the ipo from Alpex Solar and Redra Gas or apply both?
Should I invest 1 Retail from 1 account and remaining FF in another account? in this way, if there are not enough applications in same lots category, I may be considered for lottery
Divide the amount equally into 2 accounts and apply whatever lots possible in HNI?

@naney
First of all, i am no expert, bit, this ia what i will do..

I will divide funds in 2 parts for applying in Alpex and Rudra, hoping that the funds will be available for Vibhor..

60% for Rudra in 2 Acs : equally divided.
40% for Alpex in 2 Acs: 1 retail and rest HNI in another Ac..

All the best..

Alpex solar me if you are applying with 1 CR and if ipo subscribe approximate 500 times in HNI then your allotment probability would be 1:5 or say 20%

If you submit single application of 70 lots in SME IPO and if NII category is oversubscribed 350 times amount wise then your chances of getting one lot is 70/350 ie 20 percent

If you have funds than apply for more than 500 lots. Appox 6.90 crores to get an assured allotment.

This can subscribe 500 times. Appox.

@newgen consultancy Alpex Solar's KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) ROE, ROCE, RONW are much lesser than Australian premium solar. But why the GMP is more for this IPO. will the GMP sustain till listing ? What are the listing gains prospects? Can you pls clarify? other experts are also most welcome

@Vimal Garodia @SJogi Sir, i have money for 3 lot. And have 2 accounts. Which following combination is best.

2 lot in HNI and 1 retail from 2 accounts.

Or
3 lot in HNI from single account.
51.6. KYO |   Link |  Bookmark | February 11, 2024 4:15:43 PM
@Nath M  1lot means select Retail, 2 or more means select NII others
51.7. Nath M |   Link |  Bookmark | February 11, 2024 4:44:10 PM
But the problem is when amt is above 2 lakh and less than 5 lakh is accepting in Nii. Above 5 and less than 10L, system coming out.

Since Groww doesn't allow to apply for SME application. Can we apply via ASBA route using Groww Demat details? Or Groww doesn't work for SME anywhere ??
Anyone tried to apply via ASBA using Groww and got allotment or the application would be rejected overall.
49.1. KYO |   Link |  Bookmark | February 11, 2024 4:19:13 PM
Yes you can apply via asba using groww demat details.
49.2. Morrie |   Link |  Bookmark | February 12, 2024 7:49:18 AM
You can apply to SME IPO using groww you just have to search with the name of the company.
As of now they are only allowing NSE emerg listings.

If we attribute annualized FY24 super earnings to its post-IPO fully diluted paid-p capital, then the asking price is at a P/E of 3.70. Based on its FY23 earnings, the P/E stands at 7.43. Thus the issue appears lucratively priced. @Prachi @ Team Chittorgarh.com @Admin @ Chittorgarh.com
.
Could you please review the PE Calculation above? I have attached my calculation below.

@Rjravi First thing to keep in mind is SME are riskier, volatile than mainboard.
Liquidity is less and you have to sell in lots, cannot sell just a few shares.

And yes, it is very very difficult to get allotment, some people are trying for years and still zero allotment..
47.3. PKRAJ |   Link |  Bookmark | February 10, 2024 4:02:59 PM
@Rjravi Best of luck at first.
I am not an expert but as I am applying in SMEs from last many years, I am sharing my views. I have never received any allotment. I always apply in good SMEs, subscribed heavily, so chances are less. But still trying my luck.
As you said, ""I am planning to try my luck"". Here the word LUCK is very important. Believe in your luck. Keep applying as per your appetite and accounts and leave everything on LUCK. Choice of SME is very important.
ALL THE BEST and share whenever you get first allotment in SME.

It means that your application has been successfully accepted by the bank. It does not mean allotment of shares. That will be decided by draw.

Now Mainboards have already closed. My strategy for TWO SME IPOs (Alpex & Rudra) with whatever small balance left in accounts is as under:

1. Accounts in which Balance is for one lot only : I will go for retail application in Alpex and skip Rudra.
2. Accounts in which Balance is for Two lots : I will apply one lot retail in Alpex and Rudra both.
3. Accounts in which Balance is for more than Two lots : I will apply one lot retail in Alpex and remaining lots in Rudra.

Points to be considered for above combination:
1. Alpex size is Rs 75 crores ( QIB:HNI:Retail ratio 50:35:15) meaning Rs 10.62 crores for HNI and Rs 24.78 crores for retail Investors.
Rudra size is Rs 14 crores ( HNI:Retail ratio 50:50) meaning Rs 6.72 crores each for HNI and retail Investors.
2. Alpex has fancy premium of Rs 190 against price of 115 which will attract heavy subscription whereas Rudra has a premium of 42 against issue price of 63. As such, no one can predict exact listing price but one should take note of the fact that Rudra is a BSE share and hence cant list above 90% of the issue price, therefore GMP has its own limitation and cant rise beyond a certain level.
3. Financials and future prospects of both are good.
4. Subscription figures at the end of day 2- Alpex vs Rudra (133 vs 117 times in retail ) & (73 vs 26 times in HNI). If the current subscription trend continues, retail category of both will subscribe by same times with Alpex having a marginal lead. But in HNI, Alpex will have nearly Three times subscription that of Rudra.
5. This time, Due to shortage of funds, many will go for one lot for each of the SME IPOs.

Anyone having a different view may kindly advise so that I can also rebalance my strategy.

Thanks for reading such a large post.
