@csk: i will also not apply in HNI here. I may apply 1-2 retail applications only as per tomorrow subscriptions. CMS was better than this where i gave my view to apply.
I too am skipping this one unless things change drastically tomorrow, HNI looks a too risky bet. Under present circumstances we can only have retail discussion and not HNI discussion :)
I intend applying strongly in HNI in this one......for me the risk reward stacks up well. Application size will be decided by extent of HNI subscription at 1:45 pm. Keep minting!!!

Thanks for your reply Lokes, MRavi Sir,Avenue, Noorul and Neologus. Can you please suggest regarding TCS Buyback? Are you participating in the Buyback? Today closing Price is 3830. Looks a good deal for me.. Your suggestions...
@CSK I'm participating in TCS buyback as a retail. I will buy 44 shares. Till today I've already about 20 shares at average of 3761 (had 5 shares below 3500). I expect acceptance will be around 50% so profit will be 12k+
@NITEENIPO - My top of the mind points on this, briefly:
> Relevant business and Company from size, market share, solution perspective > I believe cash is not disappearing from the economy in a hurry and is here for another 10 years on more > Through POS network and other consumer touchpoints the Company is capable of providing all solutions that other highly valued FinTechs are claiming but this will require more tech and people investment by the Company but its well placed > Strong cashflows of 450 cr yoy and almost 100% EBITDA/CFO ratio...steady cash flow business with very low growth after debt is pared > Dented balance sheet due to high cost borrowing by promoter to buyback share of PE investors > CMS was zero debt but this one will have debt even after the promoter infuses back 650 cr through escrow. If for any reason, the promoter chooses not to do it (Sterling Wilson case) then entire IPO will go for a toss and it will be a 1 din mein paisa zero scheme but I've gone through the prospectus and believe that there is no reason for this to happen. > Theoretically, with current cash generation company can be zero debt in 2 years > Priced cheaper than CMS on EV/EBITDA basis but more expensive on P/E due to dented balance sheet
@CSK - Yes, participating in TCS...it seems like a decent opportunity. Bought some today and will continue to buy around this price range to apply in Retail quota from multiple accounts. Keep minting!
I believe we should decide based on the subscription times and GMP tomorrow. If its not moving much upwards this scrip can be bought in the secondary market as listing can get low than the IPO price.
I came to know about the record date for TCS buyback was yesterday after the trading hours. Any scope in buying tcs shares today? Will it cross 4k again? Market is going down and I am doubtful about that. Comments pls!

@Haran - Yes, that is the real debate...block money to buy through an IPO or from secondary market. Also, budget day listing is a bit of a dampener!
@CSK... Yes I too would tender by 45 and 20 shares for TCS buyback. I had 30 TCS shares since many years at a cost ~300 and tendered all of them in last year TCS buyback @ 3000. My reason was not immediate gain but to make profit tax free (3000-300 x 30) as a result of buyback. And I immediately bought 30 shares again from market @ ~ 3000 after buyback and now have added a few more.
One thing which I fail to understand that despite strong cash flows why is company delaying statutory GST payments , Trade Payables , Employee Salaries etc.

@NeoLongus,@NEETINIPO,@CSK, In TCS buyback,if AR is 60%,then we can earn profit only on 60%,but remaining 40% will remain in demat and if price fall further,we have to see loss in demat and hold until exit, right? Also,to participate in buyback,is it prudent to apply from different pan accounts or same as single accoun?
So, are you telling that tcs buyback record date is not yet announced? I have seen somewhere that record date was on 20th and have to buy before 2 days of record date inorder to get the shares in demat.

@sbipo @true ipo lover: you can find all information regarding tcs buyback from below link, admin has added examples also there and in comments also you will find all information or you can post your doubts: https://www.chittorgarh.com/buyback/tcs-buyback/55/
@avenue @neolongus @others : anyone of you decided to apply here in AGS in HNI, like minimum hni application to get 1 lot or any other no. of lots in HNI ? I may apply for 1 minimum HNI application by 2.55pm to get 1 lot, if QIB also comes around 2-3X else will apply in 2-3 retail applications only via upi.

This one's unfortunately become a punt and I'd hate a repeat of CarTrade or GLS! Keep minting!

@avenue: yes here in retail also i can get 1 lot with 2-3 applications so i will not go in minimum HNI application also.....and, for me, cms was more better than this after analyzing, so i will apply in retail only here, as in retail allotment, risk won't be much to loose, i can take 500-1k risk.....gain may also be between 5 to 10% here, budget risk won't me much since listing will happen at 10am and budget will come from 11am and market will react later only to budget (if any bigger correction)...
@sbiipo - correct if acceptance ratio is 60% then 40% will remain in our our demat account. But remember this is TCS we are talking about, the second largest market cap wise listed company. From current levels even if it falls we are cushioned for Rs600+. We begin to incur a MTM loss only below 3200 levels. And we should be buying more TCS at 3000 levels. Buy only 44 or less shares per pan account to enjoy larger acceptance ratio. Just Do It.

@NEETINIPO, Suppose I tender 42 shares and AR is 60%,then how many shares would be accepted? 25 or 26(60% of 42 is 25.2) Thanks
@sbipo : fractional numbers are ignored. So in your case it will be 25.

@NeoLongus: you have taken a big bet and would be getting around 5 lots....btw i observed normally you skip such kind of issues where there is unsureity and fundamentals are not good, and points mentioned by you in above 9th no. comment for this ipo are also not so encouraging still you took brave decision here. wish you good luck You will holding this for longer term or will sell if any 5-10% gains on listing day or in some days ?
Hi Lokes how u arrived that he will be alloted 5 lots, out of 100 which he has applied? Plz for my info.

@avenue: still not accepted but mostly i will accept.....from current 2 applications i may get 1 lot allotment and from 4 applications i may get 2 lot approx....i feel it won't go much down like rategain on listing (anyways that also recovered later) , my feeling is it can give upto 10-20% gains after listing or within 1 months. @Sunmoney : i said "around" 5 lots, taking consideration of 4 lots from his 100 lots HNI application as per 25X subscription in HNI and just assuming 1 lot allotment from his retail applications.

@avenue: Good luck, i accepted 1 out of 2 upi mandates. @csk: good decision, better not to take risk when you are not sure and can't afford to loose upto 1-2K.
1 mandate accepted and the other one rejected. Now I feel like it was a bad idea that I accepted the mandate. GMP ended with Rs2 and not sure it will list with gain, also market condition is not that good. Let's see.

@avenue: Good one :) can't stop laughing after reading your quote :) :) i can feel the emotions ;) @ipo mitr: yes its really a great quote and practical too :) we get influenced from each others :)
Hi @lokes - Was a bit caught up the past few days but here is my take:
You are quite right in your observation about my IPO investing behavior. However, in this case, I feel that the downside @ 7x EV/EBITDA is very limited but there could be significant upside. So there is uncertainly but the business I feel is fundamentally valuable. Also, I strongly believe in investing behind strong individuals and entrepreneurs. We have in this case the example of a promoter who bought back the stake of PE funds by borrowing money against his share pledge and against company cash flows. Basically he bet all his wealth in buying back the stake and is now selling his stake @ about 2x to pay off the debt. He has gone through a phase of very tight company cash flows and with all this debt burden out, balance sheet improved and the company and the business being fundamentally strong, I think it has value and can hopefully improve from here.
But, as always, I can be totally wrong about this one again like in GLS and CarTrade...so let's see...current market sentiment is also a major worry...fingers crossed! Keep minting!
@Csk.. Here is my 2 cent. Adani wilmar for long term.

@Noorul- I am only worried about the size of the issue. Again they need to issue 15% because of SEBI mandatory rules. If the government changes in Central also affect them badly. I am only investing for Listing gain. Happy Investing.
Got allotment 1/1. If it list at discount, any chance for profit if i hold it for 6 months?

Sorry to post the message here. This is regarding the buyback of ESCORTS shares by Kubota corporation. Morgan Stanley has annonced buyback from 11th to 24th January. I cannot find the info on buyback from the exchanges. Ia am out of station and hence unable to see any mail received at home. Can anyone who has information share it. I know this is not the forum for this and regret i have to post the message here.
@NAND KISHORE PARWAL @Asoke sarkar Kubota coropration is buying Escort shares through OFF MARKET mechanism and not Buyback. The tentative schedule is given in the message sent to BSE and i could also get the newspaper publication through internet. However i do not know whether the same has been postponed.though it is very unlikely. Messages to KFINTECH , the RTA for the offer remain unanswered.

@VSP Ji
ER or Entitlement Ratio AR or Acceptance Ratio
Entitlement Ratio and Acceptance Ratio These are two ratios that retail investors should be aware of. The entitlement ratio is nothing but the ratio of shares a retail investor has offered in the buyback compared to the total number of shares held in the overall retail investor category.
Hence it is calculated as the total number of shares offered by investors at the close of the offer divided by the total number of retail shareholders. While retail investors are free to tender all the shares that they hold in the offer, it is not necessary that they will all be accepted. The acceptance ratio represents how many shares the company will be able to accept in a buyback offer for e.g. every 100 shares tendered by shareholders.
Amit ji, Thank you very much for your encouraging views. Star Cements (tender offer), Balrampur Chini (open offer) n Nath Biogen (open offer)are the only Buybacks caused me to book petty losses. All others are beneficial. Thank you.
agree KSRK sir, I have provided my views against purchasing cement stocks (either ipo or buy back or otherwise ) many times in multiple forums.. one should avoid cement stocks.. there is nothing niche skill in cement technology..
Amit ji, Had it happened to see your views, I would not have purchased. Anyway, let me learn also from such experiences. Hopefully looking forward to the current Buybacks. Thank you.

@csk: yes as KSRK sir mentioned, for more info, better to check respective buyback pages and ask there if any doubts, surely someone will reply. you can go through below buyback pages for more understanding. Currently tcs is the one where record date is still not passed, remaining now not able to participate but you will gain knowledge if you spend some time to go through.
@ madhuri ji sorry for not replying ... bcs of some medical emergency 10 din se dhyan nahi tha... per short term aur listing gain ke liye apply layak nahi tha..😒
@simply yes she is humble and big big investor too.. 😋
