Chemical sector party is never over..check historical performance of any speciality chemical share and you will see that not only for certain period of time, but chemical sector has rewarded shareholders over longer run also.. talking about 40-50% correction, then the entire mid and small cap shares have corrected that much, not only chemical sector.

There is no black&white rule in share market. Every company needs to be analysed individually.
If you just entered for listing gain then book gain/loss within two-three days of listing and if you have conviction on business of company and valuation is reasonable then hold it without any second thought for wealth creation.

I don't see any big bang listing here. I will tell you my personal decision. I have entered this company for long term and I will hold this company till it is in growth mode. Two major expansion plans of this company is due by 2022 end(4000MTPA) and by 2023 end(4500MTPA). It takes around 2 years for the company to get full benefit/revenue realisation for the company so accordingly revenue of this company should trippled in next 3-4 years from current sales and if they able to boost margin then it will be double tailwind for this company.
They are almost monopoly in the products they manufacture and they can be big beneficiary of world's China+1 strategy.
Management and Promoters are experienced and competent to realise above targets.
These are all futuristic targets and nothing is surety in the world. I am in this company till everything is on track as planned.

Aether is fundamentally sound company with excellent growth. Business segments look promising (Mostly into Pharma API, CRAMS buisness and contract manufacturing). Excellent clients, technocrat Promoters and rapid expansion plans.

This company is sole manufacturer of many of its products but only in india and there are competitors in the world for this company. Largest or second largest producer of most of its products in world.
I have attached its products and market position of its products in India as well as world and its competitors.

There is little bit challenges due to rapid rise in raw material prices(especially phenol) and as approx 50% sales is export so abnormal rise in shipment charges are also hurting margin in short term but I believe that these are temporary and transitioary pain.

If you have applied in IPO then you will get 100% allotment. If you haven't applied and want to add for long term then I would suggest not to accumulate on listing rather wait till it consolidates and Q4 result of company. If broader market remains volatile and if result disappoints then you may get chance to accumulate at lower price.
For short term and listing gain (gmp is positive) I really don't know how it will list and move in short term.

I am on this forum from last two years but I was mostly on visitor mode and learnt a lot of things from senior and fellow members. I thought to contribute with facts and information which may help fellow members in decision making. If members appreciate then I will keep on doing it. I don't have any vested interest with anything. I believe in learning and spreading & seeking knowledge. It should keep on flowing.

@Asoke: When the company is small only the growth will be huge provided they are good promoters and management (corporate governance) and the sector and clients it is catering to. Aether for some 4 products it is leading manufacturer in the world.

Aether ticks all the boxes of a wonderful growth company. Based on FY22 it looks expensive but current FY23 PE: 57 and especially FY24 it will be very cheap (PE: 26 to 30) boz new capacities are being added which will increase the production by more than 50%. Not to forget RoE, ROCE is exceptional. Market always rewards this kind of companies and they have already started it:)

Note: Infy, Wipro, Airtel, Deepak Nitrite and so many chemical companies have given wonderful returns to the shareholders by starting small and going big. So now you can see how this biggies are giving returns to shareholders (decent but not extraordinary) bcoz the base is so huge and delivering same kind of historical growth is a mammoth task.

for this ipo, I exaggerated its sale/ day.
If it works with full capacity, its total 25 products to be sold in ours and 18 other countries will require two third of a 10 wheel truck.A very big company.
It should be kept in mind that in the parlance of industrial chemical reagent uniqueness is often a far cry. So people can be easily befooled.

@anantagg , what is your outlook for Ather ? can you pl guide all of us about your listing estimate.

@ Anantagg, why the allotment ratio1:4 , when subscription is 2.5× . I think bHNI should be 2× subscription wise and about 0.4 times application wise. So, even if 50% of bHNI goes in individual applications, rest about 50-60% will be distributed proportionally. In that case you should be getting around 5-6 lakhs of shares out of 10 lakhs. Please share your allotment for our education.

Anant, Ab ki baar no sell order pls. Let it list above 700 bro. instead put some heavy buy and sell orders at 750-800 to set right the equllibrillum price and later cancel it at 9.43. You have all the money power bro.
If because of heavy sell orders, if it list around 550, it will take 3-4 months to cross ipo price. And base formed will be around 580-590. Dont want to see rainbow situation here in such a good ipo.

My sell order will be at below 450

Let's hope some deep pocket biggies are Bullish here otherwise listing will be ruined.
Institution will definitely absorb selling.

anantagg want to sell it on preopen itself, that doesn't mean he want to sell at 450. His order will get higher priority as it will be lower bid and thus the order will get executed . The listing price will mainly decided by buy orders.

@sarit do you know the reason? Only reason i can think of to put high sell order is to accumulate more equity himself. Or out of market deal with some operator where they buy huge at low price. Kind of match fixing. Otherwise no fool will place a 450 rs sell order.
People like anant have money power to list it in discount and hold it for some time and then pump it high later after some time when accumulated huge. Same thing he did in veranda, lemerite, KN Agri. Now openly telling will do it in aether.
First he openly told he is buying million of equity to create interest in this forum. Now openly telling he will put all those in sell order at 450 to let people sell in panic. Sab retailer/shni ka "ch***ya" bana raha. His money, his play and we retailer/shni are being fooled.

they don't fear of profits or losses
They have to cut their trades at any cost

Ones I was sitting near GMP trader who holds number of applications bought around 2800-3500(fix) on listing day preopen in a dealing room for SBICARD

At 9:15 he put selling rate of 700(anticipated discount listing)
At 9:30 he changed to 650,625,600 AND eventually put selling order of 500 of all application
And exited on listing @650 around if i remember correctly

No regret at all-he said
Now sbicard went beyond 1100 but he can't hold

This is reality likewise for HNIs also
They have to exit at all at any cost
Only timings matters nothing else

No one sells at a loss. If someone tells that they are placing order below the IPO price, one should understand the concept of Stub Quote.

Do not think too much. Aether is a good company and our investment will be safe. Sleep peacefully without thinking too much about tomorrow.

@harit. I dont agree with you. The example you gave of gmp traders are timebound and more of bet using other people money.
Anant is not doing like that. Its his own money and he is deep pocketed. If he fear of discount listing, He can have another strategy also of putting 500k buy order at 750-800 and sell order of 670. Then he can Cancel buy order at 9.43 and in this way, chances are higher of profitable exit in that case.
Also, the person who applied 60 cr worth share must have backup strategy for sure in case it list in discount. In anant case, i assume he dont have any push to sell or timebound of anything. Only valid reason i can think of is he want to accumulate more or he has done multiple operators involved linked listing price fixing.

@Harit.. agreed that biggies have to sell at listing. But why to put a sell order @ 450 unless you see any chance of listing near to 450 and moreover publicly announcing it...

There is no place for emotions in stock market.. Biggies of stock market knows very well how to play game with there huge amount of 💰.. they r not going to listen you... No matter how hard you try.. it a bitter truth .. accept it ASAP.

The sell order at 450 or so is apparently to create panic offers at less than the issue price so that buying at lower rates is ignited, and just at the nick of time, the sell order will be withdrawn or modified to a bit higher than the expected listing price. For any listing not part of T+2 settlement, this will ensure that such a bidder is able to get fresh shares at lower rate and sell the same at a bit higher immediately after 10 AM; making a decent profit without any additional funds and keeping his allotted portion intact for later play!

In EMUDHRA today, I had placed a sell order at 275 (at 9.43) , and a buy order at 257. Both were executed during the day and my allotted holding is intact with effective cost reduced by Rs 18/-.

Being a person with small funds and smaller epitite, this is enough for me in this issue.

PS - Now, if you all wish, you can practice this as per your capabilities, ENTIRELY AT YOUR RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY.

@Avenue and Naveen: I second your thoughts.

@harit: you are contradicting yourself, some big HNIs fear of huge losses that's why they place sell order below IPO price and also willing to sell huge number of shares without looking at company fundamentals. If this is the case then why do they apply in IPOs unless they are operators.

Aether is a wonderful company growing at a CAGR of more than 40% and 50% in Sales and Profits. Market always rewards this kind of companies even though they look somewhat expensive at current year earnings at 72 PE based on FY22 annualized earnings.

Approx nos:
EPS for FY22: 9 (annualized based on 9 months of FY22) PE: 72.2
EPF for FY23: 14 PE: 46
EPS for FY24: 28 PE: 23 (bcoz they are increasing their capacity by more than 50% by first half of FY24)

Also they are market leaders in some of the product categories and always have pricing power to beat inflation to a large extent.

Corporate governance is excellent based on pedigree of promoters.

That' what long term investors like FII and DII look for and invest for long term.

SHNI and Retailers are happy with short term gains and sell.

I have placed some facts briefly and it is for others to decide.

Market rewards patience and intellect.

Note: I have taken some contra bets in IPOs when HNI failed to invest heavily bcoz of low GMP and market sentiments at that time which was a blessing in disguise.

Gland Pharma (IPO price:1500): Invested 2 lakhs and stayed for more than 1 year and still holding 60%. It has given 200% returns. Sold at 3800, reached high of 4350 and listed at 1700.

Sona Comstar (IPO price: 291): Invested 2 lakhs and sold 90% of my holding between 650 and 840. It listed at 295.

Adani Wilmar (IPO price: 230): Invested 2 lakhs and sold 65% of my holding between 700 and 850. It listed at 222. It gave more than 275% returns just in 3 months of IPO). Have kept 35% bcoz of brand Adani and future growth prospects. Compared to other Adani group stocks this stock is reasonably valued:)

Don't worry it will list with minimum 7-10% premium. Big players like anant always try to exit in pre-open itself with listing gain as per their appetite. It had happened before in every ipo. The only difference is he is publicly announcing it.

well said. (I think @Anantagg himself said that he made loss in selling Veranda in Bulk deal in pre-open @125. we all know the share went upto 300, even now its around 225)

Market is bigger than FII's or any one, which can absorb easily any selling in pre-open or by bulk deal. No need to worry about @Anantagg pre-open selling.

This share going to list very good and do better in the coming days. All the best to those allotted. (Disclosure: I have vested interest, will hold for long term)

Because you time the market 9-10 days future
You don't know what will happen in 10 day,
Some macro fundamentals, geopolitical change, some sentiments can go either way
Let's take some examples
In aether it's all well but suddenly some bad news came then what?
As a retailers we can hold 1-2 lots but biggies can't
In SBI CARD everything were good but COVID and yesbank has spoilt the party
In LIC
RBI rate hike mid term and GMP gone

I can give you many more examples

In secondary market we sell shares immediately
In F&O we hedge our position

But in IPO we have to wait till listing,no other way

That's why they offload their holdings at any cost
Big profits and big losses are part of their game
They are traders not investors

They can't or don't want to stay invested in one stock for all the amount they invested, they have to lower their risk, everyone is questioning his intention BUT what if instead of saying he is applying so and so amount he would have simply said he is NOT APPLYING due to such and such negative issues and would have pointed out few stock in which he has interest.
Are we going to do any different in our allotted holdings after his announcement...? I guess not (even it does not matter for Ravi Sir - his risk is everest high than us small investors)
If we see potential in this company (and many of us see), why not thank him (mr. annat) for his genuineness and consider it as an opportunity to accumulate more shares.

He (Anant) has every right to do what he thinks is good for him. Here everyone is playing IPO game for his/her benefit, but some people want to deprive Anant for the same. Doesn't look fair. At least appreciate his sincerity, straightforwardness in replying in this forum. He has devised his strategy, you devise yours. No one should expect somebody else to forgo his gains for yours.

First telling i m buying huge . Then telling i am putting low sell orders for what i bought. What is the intention. Clearly to influence people first to buy, then to sell.

we are unnecessary discussing consequences of his plans.
this is my point of view.

Guys first i use to tell after 4pm that i applied these many shares so few people asked me to share it before 3pm on last day. I never tell anyone to buy or sell. Everyone has there own strategy. 99% of the time i sell on pre listing. In Le merite i holded it and there is no volume so i am a bit stuck.

In some issues i make huge profit and in some i make losses also putting a bid on 450 or below doesnt means i want to list the share at discount. Its just that ever the price is i just want to sell on one click. Selling this much quantity is not easy. Its not like pressing sell button on your zerodha or upstox. If i sell 365000 shares after listing in one go then i might move the price 5-10% on downside and thats worse because then people start panicking and they put sell orders. So for me and everyone is better that i sell on pre listing and i am sure there will be strong buyer waiting for me to sell. I am 99% sure it will list positive so dont worry. Even i dont like to sell at losses. Everyone is here to make money not lose.

Also please make a note that dont apply seeing my message or dont sell seeing my message. If i tell apply FF then i am sure it will list positive.

Also i will stop posting messages because i dont like negatively. I am not getting anything from posting messages in this forum.

if you would have put your sell orders at 650.. we would have listed at 800 or 850.
Since you put at 64.2 , it was still 700.

Total 14.5 lakhs shares traded in pre-open out of this 3.5 lakhs shares contributed by anantaag sir if you pushed your price till 400-500 range than you also got some more profit

I think we should be thankful to Anant in sharing his application size , openly sharing his strategy and admitting even when he loose, What I came to know is Anant is so straight forward , which I feel is great.
Most of the time his strategy was success , may be in Veranda , it was miss.

There are much bigger investors are betting in IPO and many lower bids are not from Anant., we need to understand this. So there is no point in blaming him. Everyone have there own strategy and it will not make sense criticizing another persons strategy. Since this discussion is continuing let me clarify please. I respect anantagg and all small / big investors here in this forum equally. Especially anantagg is a very big, professional and very experienced investor. He has always been genuine with his disclosures and facts. I even corrected some member who made wrong comments. Congratulations to him for profiting 2,26,30,000 from this IPO. He had a absolutely correct strategy and he followed it like he does in every IPO. It was his ability and skill to execute such a massive order and nobody is questioning it or disrespecting him in any way...He is a professional and has only been contributing to this forum. He does not need our suggestions or rather who the hell we are to suggest him anything.

My only issue was his disclosure to sell in preopen @450 as I felt it could create a panic in small retailers and there was no need to specify 450 figure. We all know no investor will hold such a huge allotment and would definitely sell in preopen and may be specifying 450 could have been avoided. Now consider a retailer who saw his disclosure of selling 365000 shares @ 450 and might have been influenced to do the same. All the orders placed in pre open for IPO will be executed at pre open estimated price which was @704 in case of Aether.. So anyone who bid below too will get 704 for his shares....

Placing a bid @64.2 doesnt mean it will be sold at 64.2.... it will be sold at estimated price after the preopen bidding period. So, whether he placed bid @64.2 or @704 here in this particular case.. it would not have matter.... He placed bid at the lowest band just to be sure that all his share gets liquidated and he exits the position no matter what...
