YES. You are absolutely correct. Kotak is too greedy. Their pricing is always more than fair price leaving the investors in losses right from the day of listing. It is better to avoid any issue where KOTAK is involved.
Adlabs Entertainment Limited issue, has informed the Exchange that the issue closure date has been extended upto 17 March,2015.Post issue modification date has been revised to 18 March,2015.Price band has been revised from 221/- to Rs. 230/- To Rs. 180/- to Rs. 215/- per share
This is what IndiaNotes has to say and adviced applicants to stay away.
Date 10th March 2015
- Price range: Rs. 221-230 and Period: 10-12th Mar 2015
- Advice: High Risk, Avoid - Small Cap – Rs 1800 cr Mkt Cap
- Industry – Amusement Parks
- ADEL has new parks that are wonderful properties with unique attractions and located in an affluent customer catchment area.
- However ADEL is loss making. It has a high cost structure. It is still stabilizing operation in its two theme parks. There are access and maintenance challenges. The vacation amusement concept has still to be proven in the Indian context.
- Current revenue levels are unsustainable. We feel that only if revenues ramp up sharply from here, will ADEL be able to achieve profitability in 2 years.
- As an investment, the ADEL IPO is rated a high risk, Venture Capital type offering.
the proceeds are to finance the borrowing done for hotel business . so you are putting your money in hotel industry . mind it this is not for themepark
this gov. is pro corporates .taxing middle class in every possible manner .encouraged by such gov this sort of third grade pricing is done by merchant bankers .STAY AWAY STAY WISE
Shrewd Trader: Similar thought. I will wait for the performance to show. The dividend payout to materialise being a cash cow business and then buy probably at a discount.
Remember Monte Carlo.Came with a high price. Even now CMP nowhere near offer price.
Same will be the fate of ORTEL, which will list at a huge discount.
ADLABS WILL BE NO DIFFERENT.
To trap gullible retail investors, a discount of Rs 12 is offered. Don''t fall for this booby trap.
This is like a retailer increasing the price of a shirt of Rs 400 to Rs 750 and then offering 33% discount. We think we are getting a great deal but the seller is having the last laugh.
One can certainly buy after listing at a discount if you think the ADLABS story is great. Don''t subscribe to the IPO now.
Let the merchant bankers and the companies trying to come out with IPOs in future be reasonable in pricing. There is nothing left on the table, NOT EVEN CRUMBS. Be patient and wait for the good issues with decent pricing. Many more IPOs are in the pipeline. Let''s not rush like there is no tomorrow for IPOs and this is THE IPO to apply. A fool and his money are easily parted.......
AVOID. It''s not going to make a lot of money even if it does. The most likely scenario will be listing at discount and may continue to slide. Why not buy Wonderla when it''s available at good valuation.
As some have already posted, this issue is trying to encash the IPO craze more so from the retail investors. The issue is very highly priced. The concept is good but the pricing is not right. As the saying goes, " just becathe needle is made of Gold, we can''t poke our eyes with it". Can you pay ALTO or Santro the price of a BMW or Mercedes?? though both are good cars but the pricing has to be right too!!
Retail investors were very smart not to rush blindly in the case of ORTEL. Congrats for showing good discretion and business sense. We shall do the same for ADLABS too.
Since there was a lull in the IPO market, greedy promoters and merchant bankers are trying to encash the bullish secondary market sentiment in the market. If we rush like fools, our fingers and arms will get burnt.Be patient.Fools rush where angels fear to tread, goes another saying.
Let''s avoid ADLABS.With the high price, surely it will not give listing gains. If you still want to own Adlabs shares for long term, buy after listing at a lower than offer price.
IPO invetor''s unite and boycott high priced issues like Adlab.
