I have 2 demat account . One in zerodha and second in hdfcsec. I am holding AB capital in both demat account and received mail for the same. My question is now I can apply ipo with 3 application i.e. 1 from retail and 2 from Shareholder category with single PAN or only 2 application 1 retail and 1 shareholder. Experts please clarify.

Yes you have to make 3 applications, 1 in RII category below 2 lac, 2 applications in share holder''s quota demat a/c wise but that have to be below 2 lac taken together as per PAN maximum 2 lac allowed though may be through various demat a/cs as share holder.

Only one Application in Shareholders quota and One Application in Retail Category
One pan card one shareholder category application, so apply from only one account.

You can apply from anyone of Demat account. It is clearly written in RHP that shareholders with shares in multiple Demat accounts can apply form any one of the account. Applying from both will be treated as multiple applications.

It is large IPO 2.7 CRORE and retail allotment chance is good as 6,46,380 () lots will be allotted to retail. As per GMP 70 it seems 10% is on table. Can we expect magic like Angle here and stay long or exit on listing?
Yeah good amount of lots for retailers. Shareholder quota is also there. But such type of IPOs most of the public apply for long term. This is good AMC after hdfc & Nippon. Even during Nippon time people were so excited but it was listed in 15-20% range only.
How is the allocation under SH quota? Is it just like Retail quota? what happens if it oversubscribes SH quota? And what happens when it does not over subscribe SH quota.
If some one enlighten me on these ones, I will be grateful. Thanks in advance.

Milton, As per RHP, Shareholder quota allotment is similar as like NII allotment. Only in shareholder quota if you are eligible you can apply with minimum 1 lot application or upto 97300 lots in single application. This is same like 2nd NII category similar like SBI Card or SBI life IPO.
SBI Cards had a different process. I had applied in HNI from one of my accounts and could not apply in retail (obviously) and also couldn''t apply in Shareholder quota.
That RHP mentioned that HNIs cannot apply in SH quota.
Application in SH quota in this IPO is upto a maximum of Rs 2 Lakhs only. You can concurrently apply upto 2 Lakhs in Retail Quota OR more than 2 Lakhs in NII quota.

My reply to this post was for allotment mechanism for only shareholder category.
You can check my other comments where what is allowed and what is not is mentioned as per ABSL IPO RHP. Yes there is is change In ABSL IPO for shareholder category than SBI card if you want to apply for one more category along with shareholder category.

MK are you sure about max cap 2 lacs for shareholder category, before this read
RHP page 324
"Maximum Bid"
Such number of Equity Shares and in multiples of Equity Shares such that the Bid Amount does not exceed the ABCL Shareholder Reservation Portion
@MK If I want to ONLY bid under the Shareholder category then I can apply with more than 2 lacs of application maximum up to shareholder quota size.
If I want to apply NII or Retail category & also in the Shareholder category then I have to make sure that my shareholder category bid amount is less than 2 lacs.
Below Combinations are allowed. 1) Only Shareholder bid (more than 2 lacs allowed) 2) Shareholder (Less than 2 lacs) + Retail 3) Shareholder (Less than 2 lacs) + NII (More than 2 lacs) 4) Only Retail 5) Only HNI
Below Combinations, BIDs will be rejected. 1) Shareholder (More than 2 lacs) + Retail 2) Shareholder (More than 2 lacs) + HNI (More than 2 lacs) 3) HNI + Retail
After reading DBJ sir''s post I was also confused but I have cross-checked these conditions from the RHP.

SONMAYA I am not telling this from my own, I am reading from RHP, please read RHP page 333, below they have mentioned "Retail Portion or Non-Institutional Portion" clearly.
If an ABCL Shareholder is Bidding in the ABCL Shareholders Reservation Portion up to Rs 200,000, application by such ABCL Shareholder in Retail Portion or Non-Institutional Portion, shall not be treated as multiple Bids. Therefore, ABCL Shareholders bidding in the ABCL Shareholders Reservation Portion (subject to the Bid Amount being up to Rs 200,000) can also Bid under the Net Offer and such Bids will not be treated as multiple Bids.

SONMAYA, Thanks, Now i have also received email and in email they have written contradictory condition than RHP, Strange,
Email: Please note that Bids by ABCL Shareholders in the ABCL Shareholders Reservation Portion as well in the Retail Portion shall not be treated as multiple bids. However, Bids by a person in the ABCL Shareholders Reservation Portion as well as the Non-Institutional Portion (generally referred as HNI Portion) shall be treated as multiple Bids and therefore liable to be rejected
RHP: If an ABCL Shareholder is Bidding in the ABCL Shareholders Reservation Portion up to Rs 200,000, application by such ABCL Shareholder in Retail Portion or Non-Institutional Portion, shall not be treated as multiple Bids. Therefore, ABCL Shareholders bidding in the ABCL Shareholders Reservation Portion (subject to the Bid Amount being up to Rs 200,000) can also Bid under the Net Offer and such Bids will not be treated as multiple Bids.
Now we need Chittorgarh forum Admin help to clarify this from registrar :)

DBJ now no one can Help.when investor has got E mail from Company itself We have to follow that ...it''s Simple
That is the standard rule that the record date is the date of filing of RHP. IN ABSL AMC the record date 22 September means those who have purchased share on Or before 20 September are only eligible for shareholders category.
I have 600 shares of Aditya Birla Money for the last one year which is a part of Aditya Birla Capital. So am I also eligible to apply under the share holder category?
Bought AB capital a long ago at 63.50. As on date 24th sept gained 83.5%(CMP116.5).Today got mail regarding Shareholder quota. Let''s see it will be benificial or not like AB capital.
@P Patel i was looking simillar idiomatic expression from native language. Because each launguage has own charm.when one heard it in native terms one can''t recognise its cultural difference. for an example Meghani translated Tagors song "man mor bani thanghat kare"
PROS 1 BRAND NAME 2 FUTURE OF THIS SECTOR IN INDIA 3 RONW IS BETTER THAN LISTED PEERS CONS 1 P/E BASED ON UPPER PRICE BAND AND EPS FOR FY 20-21 IS AT PAR WITH INDUSTRY COMPOSITE P/E.NOTHING LEFT FOR RETAIL INVESTORS. 2 100% OFS WILL DECIDE BASED ON GMP AND THIRD DAY SUBSCRIPTION RATIO.
@vishnu bazar Open Hdfc Trading account....it will solve your issue. I think HDFC does not allow 3rd party ASBA online and they have locked it in such a way that only HDFC trading ac users can apply online ASBA which is very regressive.
the same way you can submit physical form in HDFC bank for shareholder category.
Another option issue debit card for your HDFC HUF saving account, enable UPI and then you can apply from zerodha with UPI ID. I am having HUF bank account with HDFC & HUF demat account with Prostocks.
I have enabled UPI for HUF HDFC savings account and now From prostocks i apply with UPI facility.
I HAVE MY INDIVIDUAL BANK ACCOUNT IN SBI BANK ......CAN I APPLY THIRD PARTY IPO IN SHAREHOLDER CATEGORY IN HUF THROUGH SBI ONLINE ASBA??

@vishnu bazar,
By default online ASBA is enabled for any personal savings accounts. For HUF account, you need to visit to your serving branch and submit one form. After that they will enabled online ASBA for HUF account. I have same issue with my Kotak bank for my HUF account. I visited and ask them how to enable online ASBA for my HUF account and they guide me this. BTW I am having 3-in-1 account in Kotak ( SB + Demat + Trading ).
