Is it simplest and safe to say that all HNI applicants just need to watch Shareholder and HNI subscription at just before cutoff time and apply FF into the category having lesser Subscription?
And likewise is it simplest and safe to say that all Retail applicants just need to apply 1 lot in retail and remaining funds in maximum possible lots in shareholder category?
@Noorul... Really hard to predict anything now. More than company's financial it is now the market sentiments who will dictate terms in upcoming IPOs. We have already seen 1-2 IPO victims of 3-4% market correction. Let's see after 2 days.
Bad timing for this heavy weight Brand. May b things will b change at the time of its listing.. nothing wrong in the company and sector.. Long race hourse.
One more attempt to regroup and have decisive discussion...
So far Shareholder and HNI has moved neck n neck. But on the final day I expect HNI subscription to be atleast double of whatever shareholder subscription is, especially due to funded HNI if at all they are participating. Too early to say but I will be applying FF if this issue is reasonably subscribed.

valuations are little high... listing day is too far after budget and budget would have no impact. expecting HNIx to be 25x , SH to be 15x. it should give atleast 10-20% on listing as I am expecting gmp will increase post budget and as listing day will approach. In case, if it list below cut-off also, then also no harm to accumulate/average and hold for a month, since adani and wilmar both good brand names ..so will apply FF.

@amit: i will be applying in shareholder category since it will be having less subscription probably then HNI so i can get desired lots by putting lesser amount since i am shareholder in 2 account. And i will not skip it, but how many lots to apply i will decide by 2.45pm. I have applied 4 applications in retail 1 lot each, 1 shareholder account 14 lots is done....and 1 shareholder account pending to apply that will decide later today such that I may try to get around 7-8 lots not more. noorul informed he is not shareholder.
@lokes, Avenue, Noorul and all, I applied in one retail and 102 lots in SH category through one account I will wait for 02:45 as said by @lokes, for applying FF either normal HNI or SH HNI depending on subscriptions. (I also feel HNI will be higher than SH)
I think HNI will be way above 25x. What worries me is that employees getting the share at 209 seem to be less enthusiastic about their own company giving good returns. Still I think it will be worth applying. Will be applying through 1 or even 2 HNI acc depending on subs figures at 2:45 pm
If applied 20 lots and sh quota subscribed only 1.3 times how many shares will the 20 lot applicant get?
sh subscription seems less so asking this question. Thanks in advance

@ipoinput: Allotment in shareholder is proportionate like HNI category. You can go through allotment process in below link once for your knowledge. https://www.chittorgarh.com/article/hni-ipo-application-guide-nii-allotment-benefits/532/
Suppose final subscription in shareholder is 5X then you will get 4 lots with your 20 lots application. if subscription is 10X then you will get 2 lots and so on. With 2X subscription , you will get 10 lots.
@ lokes I was confused about the fraction. So if I apply for 20 lots and the category is subscribed 1.3 times. I should get 1 lot confirm + 20 / 1.3 = 15 lots. So total 16 lots ( 16 X 65 = 1040 shares)Is this calculation correct?

Now HNI subscription picking fast, reckon will cross 50x , here comes train....
I think this ipo will b a clown of zomato.. will surprise on listing high return less subscription wise.. and specially for hnis. Funded hni r scared for taking loan becaz of budget coming tomorrow.. but what i knw Adani group has a very charming relation with nda govt and i don't see any setback for adani group in upcoming budget.. I m putting Gmp completely aside.. Adani brand name is enough for me. In worse case possible if its listed for 5 - 10% loss.. will gonna hold this Gem .. it will give very gud return in next six month or year. I already applied in normal Hni category.
@ lokes I was confused about the fraction. So if I apply for 20 lots and the category is subscribed 1.3 times. I should get 1 lot confirm + 20 / 1.3 = 15 lots. So total 16 lots ( 16 X 65 = 1040 shares)Is this calculation correct?
can you please answer this quick? i will apply now accordingly
Employees are not properly guided thats why they are not much aware about share market, they dont know how and where to apply. Many are confused, many of them have lack of information about share market, many of feared about lock-in period... Its all about misinformation

@IPOINPUT: it will be 20 / 1.3 = 15 lots apprix , there is no extra 1 lot as u informed. its simply applied lots/subscription. @mark bab : No. its like below. A. one under SH category (Above 2 lacs) and another under RII category (No HNI) B. one under SH category (below 2 lacs) and another under HNI or retail category.
you can check this, you will understand for sure. https://www.chittorgarh.com/ipo/ipo_discussions.asp?a=1173&c=491211&ap=0
@Csk. You should go with full amount. Probably u will get 4 to 5 lots.. and dats worth taking risk on Adani. Look other script of Adani.. they all r running like rabbit. Fundamentals of wilmar sound brilliant and available at cheap price compare to its peer.

First of all thanks all seniors for opening the thread for discussion, seeing the subs now hni is going as compared to sh quota, I have applied 2 retail appl through upi first day itself, for SH catg I have 11L to apply for, should I distribute it equally for my two accounts - the subs are not very encouraging so far considering the name, however it should do good since choosing such as this inopportune window before budget has baffled us.
Any seniors would like to help regarding fund allocation (as told above) considering the subs. 🙏
I expected that shareholder category will be subscribed less compared to HNI but not this much of difference. HNI is 9 times more already as compared to shareholder and HNI subscription has been seen multiplying at closing minutes, even after 3 pm. Since I am shareholder in 3 of my accounts, I am concerned low subscription in shareholder category. Someone said there is a glitch in shareholder sub data but BSE site says exactly what is mentioned at chittorgarh site 10.6x HNI, 1.3x Shareholder.
I'm still on the sidelines regarding applying FF in SH-HNI as I would rather have funds for the secondary market opportunities that may present themselves tomorrow onwards. Have deployed quite a bit during the correction of the past week and I feel that if u buy the dip correctly , you can make more in that than just flipping through Ipo after Ipo.
Might just apply in SH HNI enough to guarantee 1 or 2 lots max
Now my main application is pending where I can apply for 300 lots. Seeing lower shareholder subscription of ~10x-15x I am concerned not to get too many lots.

@Avenue - ur HNI app will be in lottery.. may or may not fetch 1 lots. You should have completely avoided that. And that money should have been pushed to Shareholder. More better and simple approach - 4 Retails apps and 1 shareholder app will all the money you have. Isn't it??

Applied 200 lots in shareholder category. Remaining 4 retail applications and 1 more shareholder application of 14 lots.
Applied 250 lots in HNI and retail applications through other accounts. The reason why major Fii and Dii are shying away is because Adani group is a bit shady in their operations and the promoter's reputation isn't good. Clean promoters are always valued highly.
@sdz Same here. I avoid putting money into this group but decided to go in this time.
@MRavi thanks for your reply and encouragement. I already applied almost FF. Could have added 40 - 50 more lots but ICICI is not allowing to revise shareholder HNI bid. That is ok as I am already getting enough, infacct more than I originally planned. BTW have you noticed sudden jump in shareholder sub.
@DuckkyDuck... I had to apply in HNI as applicant was not shareholder, could not transfer funds as they were linked to account.
Hi Guys, Getting struck at the last moment n need some help. Thru hdfc ASBA had a retail application already done and now for the shareholders category , trying to put in a 25Lacs application 1. using Zerodha but its not allowing me to put more than 2Lacs 2. using HDFC ASBA "retail ael shareholder category" is also not allowing more than 2lacs. Whats the wrong step am i doing for SH category in zerodha or HDFC ASBA? thanks
@Avenue, Congrats. you wont be disappointed. this will surely a 20% minimum for listing gains and if you can wait for few months or a year, much bigger returns. its a portfolio stock, no matter what the market conditions are.
@kishenharendra brother, thats fine for HDFCs ASBA but on zerodha , the cut off is still valid i.e. till 4:30PM tdy
What zerodha guys are telling me is that since i had placed a retail application already , then i am NOT ALLOWED to put in Retail SH category an amount more than 2Lacs . which is different than i have been hearing on the forum.
( What they have told me is that i should select HNI SH category for amounts greater than 2Lacs)
I observe that adani HNI application was not possible today at 3.35pm on ICICI Bank site. It appears the cutoff is definitely not 4.30 for hni applications. of ourse retail applications went through even post 4pm. I had earlier posted that ICICI applications in hni were accepted even post 3pm base Don my experience in lodging post 3pm. it appears now that Mayen the earlier application went through by chance or maybe I applied before 3.30 then. If anyone has had similar experience with ICICI pls do apprise
@lokes @noorul @avenue @AmitCheda @MRavi @MK Thanks for encouragement. Have gone FF. Applied Total 1480 lots- 2 Retail/8 NII. Will EXIT full on bumper listing, else HOLD part of it for Medium term. Good Luck guys! See you on next IPO page.
@Adesh jain, I clearly remember being unable to apply post 3 pm (I think it was Medplus IPO) with ICICI direct. Even though it shows status as open, application fails at the last stage, so always better to apply before 3 pm
I got swamped with an unexpected complication at work and when I remembered I have to apply for the IPO , it was sharp 3 PM ... so missed the SH-HNI applications. Applied for Retail + SH-Retail from all accounts.
🔥🔥 I have an OPEN Question 🔥🔥, yeah burning one :-)
Did anyone manage to apply using Zerodha in SH category for more than 2 lacs?

@vantage - zerodha only allows UPI based application. All UPI application will be retail i.e. less than 2 lac as that is UPI limit. More than 2 lac application HNI for shareholder or non-shareholder is only possible from ASBA.
I totally stayed away...Have always been a silent bystander to the tremendous wealth made by investors in Adani stocks and never ever participated directly and that stance continues for me. Wish you all the best for the listing and beyond...Keep minting!

@Noorul… kaise ho? Adani group hi…kuch bhi ho sakta hi. When Adani green kinda hawa company can jump from 40 to 2,000, fundamentally better Adaniwilmar can rise 50rs easily 😀🤣
@sdz, If I´m not mistaken AGEL shares were given away free via demerger in the ratio 716 for every 1,000 shares of AEL. So you can imagine the gains and wealth creation to AEL shareholders
@MRavi @Lokesh @Noorul @Avenue I applied 10 lots in 1st retail account & 13 lots in second retail account. Can I know the probability of getting allotment? How many lots I may get? kindly advise.
@Shanm, Its lottery only (app probability is 1:3), I wish you get one lot each of your retail accounts. However, please do not apply more than one lot in retail as a rule. No disrespect, kindly read and update yourself with information from the forum about allotment in retail and HNI. All the best for your future IPO application.
@sdz... Me f9 bro.. That's what exactly i mean to say.. its one of the reputated and famous brand of Adani.. Somehow or for some reasons subscription figure doesn't match its fame.. but this men had just beaten Mukesh Ambani and becomes country's top richest person. Its not a joke. How one can doubt on his company and its growth. His smooth relation with d current Govt will continue help him to achives the new heights going forward..
@MRavi, Thanks a lot for your swift response & wishes. Noted your advice & hereafter will apply single lot under the retail category.
Also, It would be a great help if you can advise the benefit of applying multiple lots under HNI category. I understood there is less competition/number of applicants but all are applying for huge number of lots. I also can apply multiple lots if I get better benefits / more allotment chances than the Retail category application. Kindly advice.
@Shanm... In simple and short, if retail portion is subscribed more then 1x times, retail applicant are alloted 1 lot each in lottery irrespective of no. of lots they applied. And in HNI category, allotment is proportionate means if HNI category is subscribed 50x, anybody who has applied 50 lots will surely get 1 lot, if applied 100 lots will get 2 lot. Allotment to applicants below 50 lots will be lottery depending on no. of applicants applied in each lot category for 1 lot each.

Since last couple of days, market was up, it is going in the opposite direction today with many of the stocks correcting after budget. This trend was expected and quite usual, particularly with not change in Personal taxes. But do not worry, our economy is growing strong and Omicron is subsiding. So, everything will be back to normal and running. Just pick up right stocks at right prices.
@Avenue Excellent. Understood. thanks for the clarifications. I decided not to go with retail application anymore. will apply thru HNI if we convinced to apply on the particular IPO.
Any thing need to Change and Adani Wilmar will add in portfolio Stock for next 1 year if alloted .

Those who missed to buy TCS for Buyback can accumulate TCS now. In retail category it's absolute risk free return of around 15-20%. Another safe stock at very cheap valuation is HDFC Bank. It is trading below average P/E of last 5 years.
When are we expecting buy back, i accumulated around 30 shares, but daily it is reducing. I have accumulated at an average of 3800 now. I see scope of futher going down, so daily buying 4 to 5 upto max 44 in one of my acccount. IIFL Broker suggesting to buy 44 against each PAN, but it looks riskier to me. Please suggest.

@Jetha Lal,@lokes, Thank u all, @amit K singh, Amit ji thanks, but why to tender on first day itself?
@sbipo, if there are more people tendered their shares (1 share cases), then will give priority to people on first come first basis.. so for safer side I tender for my 1 share buyback cases at 10:00 AM on first day. I had 100% success till day...
Note- Since TCS buyback size is large, irrespective of timing , 1 shares cases will have 100% AR in TCS buyback... cheers..
First time I am heavily invested in a particular share. I enjoyed infy buyback ride..hope to see similar returns in TCS. Bought few more today at 3655. I am accumulating tcs in a separate account. once I reach 200 shares in this I'll stop.. and yes will sell in open market at 4500 only.. additionally I also hold good quantity at 3350 in another account which I am not planning to sell for very long time (~ 10+yrs).
sir we all have trading apps in our phone, please don't post unrelated content unless it's very important and worth bringing attention to. i hope you understand

Please stop discussing CarTrade, PayTM and other recent IPOs! Adani Wilmar IPO page is loosing the track like other new IPO pages. That story will never end and highly debatable if you will always compare one IPO with other instead of related listed businesses.
I totally agree!!! This is getting consusing as members are talking about the Old Ipos. Many newbies like me are here to read about the current IPO. Please discuss other IPOs on another page / thread.
In SBI IPO there are only two options available as of now. Individual and Retail. When will they add the sh option:? and should asperate applications for sh and retail be made or will there be a combined application option?

it will be two different applications, one each for retail and shareholder. There won't be any combined application etc. SBI may add/show shareholder category later, i didn't checked in any bank till now about categories shown.
Hi Fellow readers, Zerodha has added the SH category tdy morning when the issue had opened. In portfolio->IPO->when you select AWL ( Adani wilmar)-> there is a drop down that says shareholder category.
Looks like SBI people have no clue about sh quota. Very irresponsible people. They are not replying to email. I will wait till tomorrow otherwise transfer funds to HDFC and apply using HDFC ASBA.
Can I apply in both Shareholders and Retailers Category as I also hold AEL Shares. Please confirm as I have a doubt about this. If I apply both, will my application be rejected?
Cutoff date for having AEL shares in demat account is 19 Jan 22. So if you have AEL shares in demat account as of cutoff date, you can apply under Retail + Shareholder category
One should generally avoid companies whose fortunes are linked even remotely with political leadership. Not sure how many of us remembered the fate of JP group which was said to have close links with erstwhile political party of UP state.
Having said this, some listing gains may surely be there but in my opinion absolute listing gains will be unable to justify the very high level of expected subscription of the IPO. It is very subjective decision if someone with huge liquid cash wishes to apply huge amounts to get meagre allotment leading to small listing gains or focusses his time and energy in identifying and locking excellent long term opportunities which may crop up after recent significant fall in overall market...
Decide judiciously and invest safely. It is your own money. I may put some money in the IPO but will mostly stay away if subscription levels are unjustifiably high. I am sure some of us will find my views as absurd and that is ok as long as we "Politely Agree to disagree". Happy investing.
In Kotak bank ASBA under shareholders of AEL, Maximum amount showing is only Rs. 2,00,000. The maximum you can apply under shareholders category is 13 lots.
Under SBI ASBA, there is no shareholders category mentioned in application. either retail/HNI or employees
