Retail : 5 different PAN applications 1 lot each.
SH : 3 PAN ( as applied in Retail) up to 2 Lakh + 2 PAN(as applied in Retail) more than 2 Lakhs.

yes you can apply like this. Other than 1 retail application, we can apply any amount in shareholder category from same PAN.

Today's savage market correction has given us a wonderful opportunity to buy into good quality high beta stocks. Just take out your buy list and go for it in 2 or 3 tranches max. Because such corrections happen on rarely and there are normally followed by dead cap or strong bounce back.

All might have seen how sharp correction that day was a one-off incident. Markets tend to correct like that for very very few days may be 1-2 days in half year's time. You just have to cling on that opportunity. May be you can look for some correction within 1-2 days post budget.

You just do not take risk. Apply @ upper price for this great group company

It has come to that level now, but looking at very bad results declared yesterday, its a SELL at these levels. Anyone holding may sell this stock. But if you have fallen in love with the company, who am I ?

Still no option showing for SH category, wrote to IDBI and registrar. No response yet. Is applying via physical form is last option ?

I would suggest you to apply via physical form in such situations if you want to apply. As such issues can sometimes take time to get resolved which can exceed the last date of applying.

ICICIDIRECT is providing 2 options in both normal and shareholders category. Retailers and NII/other investors. Is there any difference in allotment rules of retailers category of normal applications and shareholders applications? Similarly what is the difference NII category of normal and shareholders applications?
I have around 8 Lakhs to invest and eligible for shareholders category. Please suggest how to invest to reap the maximum benefit.

I contacted SBI and they said it will be done in a short while. But nothing happened. Linkintime cant do anything because the problem is with SBI. Other banks are showing sh application option.
