Hi PKRAJ ji how come price ₹1574 came? Please let me know the math behind it and if we apply @₹1574 and it will list around ₹3200 as upper limit is ₹3200 then how will they give profits to us?
@nehavinodsharma, Good question because you have not calculated the figures. But for your information : Price Band : Rs.3112 to Rs.3276. Generally retailers apply at cut off price i.e. upper rate Rs.3276. So 50% of Rs.3276 is Rs.1638. Discount for Retailers is Rs.64. Now Rs.1638 - Rs.64 that comes to Rs.1574. Hope no doubt for you. There is no mention os listing in the chart. There is no upper limit os 3200 for your information. What will be listing is never known to anybody. It depends on the listing day only. Only presumption can be made. This is partly paid share, therefore, question of listing at 3200 doesn't arise. Have a good day tomorrow.
Just to add to the info..... Retail discount is being applied upfront....i.e Application amount for retail will be 1638-64=1574 per share. Application amount for all others inc HNIs 1638 per share.
For both categories, 2nd installment, whenever the company calls for payment will be 1638 per share.
The new partly paid shares presently will list as Adani Enterprise Ltd PP with a separate ISIN no. Upon listing the cost price for HNI will be 1638 and for retail will be 1574 per PP share which initially leads to a discount of 4%. So it does makes sense to apply in Retail rather than HNI unless retail is oversubscribed and one wants the share at all cost. I expect the listing to be about at about 60% or maybe more, of fully paid share price on the date of listing as PP shares are expected to trade at a premium compared to fully paid up shares. Assuming 60% listing price, for the retail category, the par cost of fully paid comes to 2623 per share. So unless AEL falls below this price, you have some scope of earning profit. (Based on certain assumptions, hence not claiming to be accurate, not an expert hence not recommending anything also)
Also it won't be 50% , but the difference between Adani ent and partly paid will be around the call amount that is yet to be paid ( 50% of 3276)
Difference will remain similar, so PP will follow the adani movment.
If adani enterprises increase by 100 points , pp will increase by nearby amount as well . (Not 50% ) , to keep the difference between PP and adani enterprises to the same level

@Ujwal G When listed Adani Ent pp shares will not be traded exactly at 50% of Adani Ent's shares but there will be a nominal discount to it.

@jajo Rather than discount it will be premium to reflect interest earned on full share versus partly paid share. Suppose market rate is 3276 which is equal to offer price then partly paid will be 1538 as per offer price (for time being i am ignoring retail discount) Now it makes sense for existing holder of Adani Enterprise to sell fully paid and buy partly paid and earn interest on amount of Rs 1538 for say 9 to 12 month. So it creates a demand thus some premium

Why do you say that? What it will prove? Even 1 time is successful IPO of Rs 20000 crores
1. Retail price is 3212 (1574 now and 1638 will be called later ) 2. If someone applies for more than 2lacs worth of share then they fall in HNI category and there is no discount for HNIs

@krishna T You are buying partly paid shares. To make it fully paid Rs 1638 would have to be paid by holder of partly paid share on date of call However you are free to sell partly paid share any time before such event

While some Budgets in the past sent the stock markets soaring, others led to a crash. However, most of the times, Budget day saw the stock market losing value. In the last 10 years, the market fell 9 out of 13 times on budget days, including interim budget days. Let's watch the market how it reacts after this Budget.

@abc xyz Market movement and script movement is not related. Unless you say if index falls then all shares must fall or vice versa It may happen that way when market falls 10% in a day or rises 10% in a day Every day market moves up or down but most of the time majority of scripts dont follow market movement (Only index shares determine market mood)

Arunarun I have shown the facts and last 10 years records just for understanding & reference. It's the past history and the history is for our betterment and no need to clarify. It's just record of Stock market and budget.

@arunarun History never misguide us. When I wrote this message you contradicted it. Anyways it's your choice & understanding. Let's see this time market reacts before budget and after budget too it will reacts same way. Respect the history not individuals.
LIC IPO attracted 35 lakhs plus applications from Retail and 25 lakhs plus from Policy Holders. As Adani is a much fancied Brand Name, AEL FPO may subscribe about 2 times plus in Retail Category, provided its share price is maintained well above 3400 levels till closure of the Issue. Let us wait and see.

i intend to apply 60 shares unless by 31st Jan price is lower than 3200 or market falls by 8 percent in intrim period Reasons 64 retail discount (13000 crore worth bought at full price) Interest saving on partly paid makes it interesting play and kind of an option on fully paid share Good chance of getting full allotment
Retail available forms 54.3 L. If retail application comes near about 30 L then it's very tough chances to get more than 2 lots from one account so do u think applied 60 shares in retail from one account would be beneficial.

@hostpacker After 1 lot is alloted to every one as you say 30 lakh applicant but rest of shares then are distributed prorata So as long as applications don't cross 54.3 lakh my strategy makes sense

arunARUN In FPO can you apply 60 shares in retail ie 15 lots pl confirm as in IPO only one lot can be applied . i have not idea about the same of FPO RULES
I mean to say If 20 L application will apply 8 shares ( 2 lots for 12848 ) then 40 L will be alloted to him. And rest 10 L ( mostly new Investor) will apply 1 lot. then you can see 50 L already booked. So I thnk 3 or 4 lots is enough to apply in retail and no need to waste time with money.

@Hotpacker Sir apko lagta h 30 L form aayege....!!!!!!
@Silent. 20 L application applied in Adani Wilmar that share price traded now more than 100 % from it's IPO within short time so why do you think it will be less here as he is world's third richest man now and expanding business in growing sector.

@hostpacker @chemcho SO allotment rules is same for retail be it IPO or FPO Answering your question Hostpacker any one who applies 8 or 4 will only get first 4 shares. 8 share applicant is in for prorata queue after first 4 share. So obviously weight of 56 shares (60-4) is more than 4 shares (8-4) Case rested

I think this is the most confusing IPO/FPO/OFS ever? 😂😂
Issi chakkar mai kabhi LIC ki policy mai invest nahi kiya maine, agent kabhi samjha hi nahi paya mujhe. Jo samajh mai aaya usse laga, iss se to FD he better hai. once should not be bounded to pay predetermined amount in any scheme in future with potential loss. It should be percentage, 50% now 50% then. If PP price erode, rest payable amount also comes down.

Adani PP will be stable at 1900 to 2000 for few days. So one can apply and book profit at 1900 if you don't want to hold for long term.

This may not give hefty returns like ruchi soya fpo, but this may given decent returns of 10% plus.. If budget in favour of green hydrogen, then we may witness even 20% plus gain...

@ARCA If any category is undersubscribed then obviously you will get full allotment However on other hand total bid value for sHNI is just Rs 1000 crores which equates to 50,000 application each applying Rs 2 lakh. We have seen more application in this category in past 2ndly money blocked is not 2 lakh but 1 lakh. So a retail applicant who earlier used to apply for 1 lakh worth of lot may decide to jump in this category as number of allotted shares will be higher (so is gain or loss) but amount deployed is same and better chance of allotment in sHNI category To apply or not apply is your decision. I have just put the math

Arunarun IMO retail category will not shift to shni due to power of discount having in retail category
First preference shoulf be bhni because 2000 crores so 20000 applications of 10 lakhs. Minimum 2 lakhs we will get & excess only proportionate. If we had simply sold adani 1 lot Feb futures @3600 and applied 5 bhni. We could have made 10% of 10lakhs 1 lakh rupees by taking almost very small risk. Even now we will get 4-5% if we do the same.
One drawback is if it lists more than your short price you would lose excess profit nothing more and still you will be in profit (difference between ipo and future price).
Different isin still people will buy stock which has same status & interest saved on the call money(voting power may be different due to partially paid but retailers don't consider that & dividend is not a big deal in adani )we are not going to hold until last day to deliver just square of both after listing.
