When? Any time frame?

Last time Kalamandir ipo was in 2013 (feb) for 89 crores vs now 1200 crores (after 10 years).

Previously they have come up sith saving net scheme (if price go belong issue price in 6 months, they will buy from the retailers at original issue price).

Issue was withdraw after 90% subscribed.

Lets see this time.

This write up is about effect on LIC & SBI

At this point of time , the talking point everywhere is how the Adani embroglio will have effect on LIC and SBI. First come to the point of SBI.
Sbi has declared that they have an exposure of Rs21000 (Total loan in the country being about Rs80000).So exposure of SBI is 25% of the total.
Sbi has total loan book of some 42 lac crore.So the loan given to adani amounts to about 0.5% of the total loan book.Moreover, there is colateral security. So barring the equity security rest is protected.
Last Friday Sbi declared Rs15000 cr profit for the last quarter. Even if we think that the entire amount of 15000 has to be lost, then its effect is not more than earning 0.5 % less interest on the entire loan book for a period of six months or paying 0.25% extra interest to the depositors for a period of one year.So nothing serious.
It remains mentioned that Psu banks are now in a very good position (returned to profit , stopping book value erosion) .In the last nine years , in Modi era more than 12 lac crore npa has either been resolved or provided for without taking resort to earlier tacks like restructuring etc.

LIC has alrady given clarification that it has exposure in the Adani group share to the extent of 31000 cr and they are still in profit.Lic's m.cap in adani group share rose as high as 80000 cr now reduced to about 47000 cr.
Lic has been an early investor in Adani group stocks including Acc and Ambuja.Lic has about 3.6 % of Adani group stock.Number of stocks may be in the range 24-25 cr.So average price may be in the range of 1300 which reveals that it has accumulation at the higher price range also.Its application for ael (pp) also shows that its thirst for Adani has not been quenched .I am really surprised to see this happenings.
Lic has total investment book of about 43 lac crore out of which equity's total market cap is in the range of 10.5 lac crore (investment figure I don't know) So this 31000 amounts to 0.75% of its total investment and 2- 3% of its investment in equity.
At this point of time , it is quite clear that ultimately Lic will lose some money in this count as the matter may by and by turn in Chhota Ambani's way .
Now ,if we take that the entire amount is lost , the effect on the shareholders will be erosion of Rs 50 per share of notional book value .
It's no excuse that it has huge gain in some others.

Now come to the policy holders.policyholder's liability has been legally protected in the form of ' Life fund'.Lic has protected some 39 lac cr in this count out of its about 45 lac cr financial asset.
The investment of Lic is governed by the insurance act and Irdai regulation.
As per insurance Act minimum 75% is to be invested in the Govt securities. only 15 % is available for free investment. Rest in approved investment.
Thus the life fund is protected. And the amount 39 lac crore , I have mentioned is much more than the actual amount required .
Now in the worst scenario, if Lic fails to pay the policyholder's liability, unlike the psu banks ,the Govt will have to pay the full amount (Sum assured & bonus) as LIC IS THE ONLY PSU WHICH ENJOYS SOVEREIGN GUARANTEE.
So policy holders interest is fully protected.AND THIS IS HOW LIC DIFFERS FROM THE PRIVATE LIFE INSURANCE COMPANIES.

Now come to the political front.
Opponents have raised hue and cry in the parliament and also in the social arena.Tomorrow they will show protest at the gate of all LIC and SBI offices.They are be fooling people with the narative that both will wind up.
Thereby they are unnecessarily causing agony in the minds of crores. one such case was mentioned by @ Nativa the other day. Media is also coming with questions as usual.
Opponents are such all time. I Can recollect that in the year 2008 when market was in the vicinity of 2500 (nifty) Lic bought shares worth 25000.
Then the opponents (one of them in power now) raised that Lic has put money in this doldrum situation at the instigation of Chidambaram sir (FM)
Now it is history what return has been brought forth.
In low market Lic always buy but this time whatever may be , I am a little surprised to see lic buying Adani at high level also.

“After watching Adani's speech on his decision to withdraw FPO, I feel sad...The most annoying part is, people are celebrating his setback. Some of them are not even Adani shareholders. Many of us look up to the US for everything, but we fail to realize how they support their businesses. Many people I met during my college days in US, preferred to drive only American cars or bought American products to show their patriotism and help American businesses. People buy from small shops to support them.

And, here, when an outsider is attacking, we are celebrating the crisis and hoping that Adani and his business fails...instead of considering to invest in his company stocks to help his businesses?

We need to celebrate the success of our own business leaders who have built something and contributed to the nation's growth. This is what we do with the Armed Forces and farmers. A majority of large Indian business houses contributed significantly to India's economic growth, as they created jobs for millions of young people and paid huge income taxes.

Unless, we support, share our businesses, we cannot hope to sustain and survive in long run.

For your information no money is actually collected by the company. It is sitting in escrow account from which it raises debit request to various allottees. Only then the company is entitled to take money out.
It is basics. Your allegation are dangerous and without foundations

@arunArun, I am not alleging but speculating "seems" .. My comment was in view of report that known circle of promotor poured money via hni route and finally the FPO is cancelled and those with big money are attempting to save AEL from further steep fall.
